  1. Thank you, North Shore. I can't imagine how insufferable South Dallas would have been if all 3 teams won today.
  2. This is the worse Center team I've ever seen. and I thought we had it bad this year.
  3. NS really needs to stop it with the penalties. First play of the second half and they get a false start.
  4. Lots of putbacks off offensive rebounds and baskets close to the rim. TC didn't look like they had any serious presences in the paint. Silsbee also scored points off turnovers in the second half, which is something else that's been really missing.
  5. Good season,Stangs. And some of y'all got to stop with this "Carthage could win in 5a nonsense." No they wouldn't. I'd like to see them try to play teams like Soc, Randle, or Aledo and see what happens lol.
  6. Final. Silsbee - 62 Trinity Christian - 53
  7. Halftime Silsbee - 14 Trinity Christian - 29
  8. Tied at 33. Tigers getting killed on rebounds.
  9. I expected CH to be a little better than this. They got some big kids on their team. Outside of one player, they've shot the ball as bad as Silsbee.
  10. Nice block by Lance. This is the second game in a row where, so far, our defenders can't stay in front of the other team's point guards.
  11. Chapel Hill looks like they might be pretty good.
  12. Off by 2 points. To think our two best players are both seniors. This may be a long next 2 years for Tiger basketball.
  13. This'll be a 10 point PNG win if the 3 stops falling for Silsbee. It's about all we have. Let's hope they keep making them.
  14. Put it to you this way: There's a lot of really good athletes on this Silsbee team. How many are good basketball players is a different story. Hopefully these good athletes can be molded into decent b-ball players by the time district starts. It's still really early and we just don't have the kids we've had over the past decade or so right now. As much as people don't want to hear this, it's going to take a few years to see if things work out. The community needs to be patient. Help will be on the way, but those kids who'll be freshmen next season will need a year's worth of experience and physical growth under their belt before they're really ready. That means it'll likely be 2027 before we see if Silsbee can get back to where they're used to being. I guess if you want some signs of a bright spot so far this year, they competed well with Humble (who somehow only lost to West Brook by 2 points) and Stafford, while not nearly as good as last year, still came in as a ranked team. They just need to start winning some of these close games.
