Guess all the folks associated with 14U groups have turned in their status on this board.

I noticed Sat. and Sun. umpires were telling the coaches that EP's had to be listed at the bottom ot the line up sheet. That is not the rule. Why would it be. EP's are like DP's. A coach may have a good hitter, but poor fielder and want her to hit in the 4th position. NO PROBLEM. One of the EP's may be a good bunter and fast, and coach want her in the lead-off position. NO PROBLEM. Next USFA tournament your in and umpires tell you EP's have to be listed last and unless it was made a tournament rule in the paper coaches receive prior to the tournaments, Protest it, have the UIC called in. EP's are used to add more players to the playing roster. Most teams have 14-15 girls, and some can hit but not field, run, bunt, but not field or hit for the long ball, so coaches should be allowed to place them anywhere in the line, and by rule, they can. Nowhere in the USFA rule 'pamplet" does it state DP's must be listed last. A DEFO may also be utilized. She only plays defensive. Hope this helps in the future.

They are referring to Stircrazy. I gotta tell you, not only is he an excellent coach, he is a pretty dang good umpire also. Did Stir use the words "In my opinion"! Have to be honest here. No, it never came to that. He was never questioned on a call. All his judgement calls were good. His DD kept coming to the plate and calling him Dad, just at times he wanted to duck, but it was all in good nature.

In the 12U division, the two Crush teams played for 3rd place. Collins/Worthy beat Shurgart 10-0. Not sure how the Breakers [2 teams] or Crush did in the 14U. Did not get to talk with BreakerCoach at all this weekend. Maybe someone will post how the 14U's did.

There is a stocked catfish pond at one of the parks on Dam B. My granddaughters, 3 of em, have all caught their first catch there. I don't sure of the name of it, cause my son took em, not me, but if interested I can get the name for you.

Just glad to have been able to help! I know some of the "idotsfooljerks" on this forum don't see in you what we see. You bring a lot of knowledge and insight to the game of softball. I felt there was an injustice. Had to hopefully make things right. It was not me.....it was your fellow posters who fought to bring you back. Does the same run rule apply in 12U. 15 runs after 3 innings. If so, It seems pretty respectable. In USAF it is 12/3--10/4--8/5--6/6 and of course 1/7.

Come on now. Of all the things that get discussed on this board, you're telling me that a coaches seemingly strange way of motivating her players is off limits. Are you a parent of a kid? Have you met with the Coach? Seems a little shortsided to me. Bag what is your take on it? No, I'm not a parent of a kid. Just heard this and it seemed a little strange to me. I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a whole lot about softball, but I enjoy reading the posts of the people who do. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts on this were. I believe what you "heard" is not 100% accurate, thats why you dont start post like these and if you do you delete it! BreakerCoach, do as your signature says, "If you can't start it, stir it."

I agree, the Lady does know what she is doing and I have the upmost respect for her and her players. She has proven beyond a shadow of a doubt wherever she has coached that she knows what she is doing. However, when it is a post on a coach and team you want to delete it. ???
