these three young men are from vidor, but none the less . two are going through recovery  but the third young man i have not heard that he is out of a coma yet. drunk driver is a repeat dwi with no insurance

& a suspended liscence, & had no legal means to be driving, much less getting hosed & driving. at 44

years old this dud has not learned his lesson, do you think he wiull ever change his lust for drinking up

to get stoned : not. lock his a$$$$$$$$$ up . probably took at least one full paid scholarship away from

one of these young men, no stuck his drunk a$$$$$$in the lives of these 3 & really screwed a lot of

things up, i will stay pissed at this tragedy ,no time limit here >

my daughter has trained along side one of these young men for two years now & i know how hard he has

trained, how much money that has been put out on him,thousands. to have a sorry drunken sot, not

giving a sh!!!t about who might get hurt , just because he has to have his potion poured down his big

gullet, lock him up please. this nasty sot probably has taken away scholarships or at least set these

guys back a year are two

leslie beard of lumberton, a sophmore, went to the woodlands with the intent of jumpimg a pr in the pole vault.

she did not think much about winning the vault competition. when all was said &done she had done both. leslie jumped 11'6 to set a new pr & also jumped away from the other vaulters. by the time leslie

jumped for the first time  at 10 ft,about 70% of the 22 jumpers where already eliminated. only three vaulters made it past  10 ft & only leslie cleared the next height at 10'6. her next attempt was 11'6

wich she cleared easily. the next bar height was 11'9 wich with the wind & rain picking up ,leslie

did not make the quality jumps she needed. congrats to ms beard & the raider coaches ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;

jared parker had successful surgery. placed two steel plates in lower left arm & drs said some

tendon/muscle damage two left thumb. looks like he will make a good recovery but the verdict

on vaulting will take 6 months to year before we know. other young man had surgery on leg

heard he would make good recovery,dont know if he will ever play high school sports or college sports.

last i heard was third young man responded to test but was still in coma. god speed to all 3 young men

& familys. fourth man involved, the other driver, walked away in cuffs & under the influence of the

ol suds. still a sad day in setx that this happend to these fine young men

jared had surgery mon afternoon. info i recieved was two steel plates along with screws to repair

the breaks in his lower left arm. also recieved damage to muscles that control the thumb. other

young man ,again info i recieved, had a rod placed in his leg to repair the damage in his leg. the third young man is still in icu & the last i heard was in serious condition, not real good news. other note,

mr suds it up was out on bail, maybe just a drink or two might calm his nerves a little. no liscense,

suspended for previous dwi, no insurance, no legal means to be driving, & in this case no brains.

if young man in icu doesnt pull through, nail this sots balls to the wall , no use a blade > > >

this guy was suspended for dwi, pulled out on the road & was dwi, whAT a pile of cow pow. yes

im mad & pissed off . these young men deserve better, put shock collars on these drunken losers

& when the old suds hit their lips shock the living sh!t out of them, something needs to be done.

hope this loser goes to jail & have withdraws for 10 years, sorry excuse for life. hope good things

come to all three of these young men & their familys. i know my prayers have already went up to

their cause, full recovery guys

dont know & have not heard anymore on two other young men, but parker went home fri night or sat.

morning. looks like surgery on his lower left arm. he is the state champion in pole vault in 2008

but will not be able to defend his title, unless my info is way wrong. looks like a year plus rehab/

this is just another story of someone not considering the consequences of ones actions about drinking

this unnamed person just t-boned jared & his freinds. if the facts are true & this cost jared a paid

education, & he has been offered many scholarships, this person should have to pay for 4 years of

college for this young man. jared works out religiously every week for the last 5 + years & have someone

take that away , shame on that person, sue his a$$$$$$ for college expenses > > >

seems that the year in year out success that wos athletes have in several different sports would

encourage  "the powers that be " to invest in the schools athletic dept. i just dont understand some

schools thinking. not knocking anyone r anything else, but most of the time, its the success of your

teams that excite the community & brings pride to your community. i bet the powers sure

do like the success though, dont they :o ;D ;D

jared parker was injured in car crash. sources say a drunken driver smashed into nthe side of the car

he was in, along with several other young men. looks like parker has a fractured left arm & is waiting for

monday for specialist to decide what to do,surgery. one of the other young men was in icu,stable &

other young man was injured but not as severely.  god speed to these young men. huh, another drunken

driver not caring who he injures, have not heard anything on thu sud head. > > > >

stang4life, no critisism here, i know its hard work putting meets together, & from what i hear, the coaches & other staff are the workers  with very little financial support or care from the school

board or officials, heck coop even said that. as for as the athletes look like wos has their share of

the cream of the crop, & fan base is great, stangs have a proven record. just wanted to know

about those stick jumpers thats all,no bad here. seems like you guys would get more finances from

the directors huh ???

from where i was sitting he looked like a tank with jets. i was proud for him &dayton, a really big

event, probably 4 + thousand saw him run & anouncer made sure everyone new of his record

setting race. i made sure people around me new he was from setx area & what kind of total program

& athletes  come from dayton, kinda acted like they was my own, just proud of our area thats

all. again , thanks cameron & dayton for putting yourself on top . good luck. ;D

i was there & saw the race, at 50 meters pretty close then cameron poured it on. great race

& great for him to record at the biggest show around. cograts

leslie beard of lumberton jumped 11'3, a pr. this ranks her at # 11 in texas & 36 th in nation. not

bad for a sophy. ;D

leslie jumped at the texas relays & finished tied for 5th in pool 2. she jumped 11'0 ft.

jared parker vaulted 16'6 at the woodlands qualifier meet. he cleared 17'0 mark only to knock

the bar of while clearing his arm.

lesie beard of lumberton set a polevault record height at port neches several weeks back for that

high school meet & also a area height at 10'7. she followed that mark up with a personal best of

11'0 at vidor last friday. this height gives her one of the best jumps in the region this year.  if you

compare this jump to several big twelve meets this year, leslie would have placed in the top 8 to14

in just about every meet. leslie has jumped over 12 feet in practice with jared parker & their vault

coach carl erickson of jacksonville. the lumberton sophmore is making plans to go back to state this year & is putting the work in to accomplish this again , maybe a 4 peat . she has been invited to compete

in the texas relays later this year .good luck leslie(stick girl ) not so much a stick anymore ;D

james white will be one of the best, hands down, but again speeeeeeed is not just everything.

mr beard runs a 4.65 to 4.7 ,thats it. but look how he closes on r tracks these runners ,yes even in the open; youtub anthony beard & watch highlights against central & ozens football speed & reaction,in stincts is

what makes up good backs. not dogging anyone, just stating facts. now get around,behind defense

thats a different story, just have to get their first. ;D

seen jr at the track mon. .talked to him for a while. told him to show up big at lu & prove to everyone

hes got the goods. great young man. he worked out running sprints. hope all things happen good for

this fine athlete, you must be proud. ac doesnt like all the hype ,you know. but he is really pumped

right now. think tech is going to offer, at least thats what i picked up on during our visit there. good

arizona wildcats has come to setx to find them a mlb. they new anthony beard was going to be a hot

item so after talking to coach creduer today, they asked him to tell anthony to call them for a chat.

coach did not tell anthony about the offer so when ac made the call & after several minutes of talk,

arizona told anthony they was offering him a full ride. anthony is pretty excited about this offer &

will look at all of his options. several other pac _10 schools have also shown interest also, so you

just dont know what will happen. on another note,anthony got excellent news from the dr. today

he finally started running today after being released to do so by dr isabell. looked great & smiled

afterwards,said feels real good.  good tech visit this weekend. several coaches ,including the def. coor

pulled ac to the side & was showing him a lot of attention,good luck ac ;D ;D ;D

anthony beard is going to texas tech this weekend to visit one of his favorite teams. while on hisway there he will be discussing his most recent offer which he received their letter tues, the missouri tigers

offered anthony a full ride scholarship to play football for them. he will definately  consider their offer

for this is one of his favorite teams in the big 12. he did not hear much from them lately & was surprised of their offer. it will be interesting to see what tech has to say to anthony, since this recent offer broke on their web site. during our long trip to lubbock im sure ac will hint to us his top two or three colleges

that hes leaning towards. on another note, anthony rehab is going great. he is physically bigger ,now

6'1 1/2 & 218 pounds, & very strong ,no let of here in the offseason. good luck ac. ;D ;D ;D ;D
