sports mom, i do understand your & others concerns, but i also know several of the board menbers
making this league work. along with nat, these are some football savey men who knows what it
takes to make a successful program, some are at high school level sports. trust me, when problem
areas & situations arise, this group will do what it takes to remedy said problems, thanks to all of the
VOLUNTEERS that head up stjfl,& yes ,primary goal is to the kids.

hooks & coaches have this team ready every year. they know how to coach, they have the athletes,
they have the chain gang, they have the tradition. its not to wise to say down things to them stangs.
post your predictions & your comments with caution cause them boys dont need any encouragement,
they prove it year in year out, by the way,a little early silsbee prediction, wos52, silsbee 20 :P

coach c is a nice fella,& nice fellas dont always lose smitty. alvin is very structured, his coaches are
instructed to be very structured. run routes to a t,timing of plays exact, allthe little things important.
dont give up on the coaches & program, you will not be playing. no walking around, no sloppy actions,
regiment style, consistant practices day to day, week to week, year to year ,you know where this
man & his coaches stand, better be serious & determined, his way, the coaches way or the highway.
this good man gives his coaches opportunity to learn, wether camps, clinics, ect, & they are always busy
trying to learn themselves to give these young men the chance to be successful. they r always busy
in off-season. great hire for them raiders, all coaches deserve this praise at l-town. coach has always been a winner & will always be a winner. ps, lumberton never let this crew get away. like reading all
them old posts big house & tell the little big man good luck, we will be watching him on saturdays, thats a promise

kirbyville is a really fine football team . i believe they will be the team to beat . after watching the silsbee
scrimage,i truly think they can go a long way AGAIN this year. solid defense & a really good offense,
these guys have some quality kids & some good coaches, ah kville ,keep your coaches. as for as newton,
they will always be at the top ,by themselves or sharing it with kville, i think those wild cats will jump
off the ground & bite those eagles in tha *&%&$* again this year. no dicing you eagles , my wife & inlaws ;D
r from newton. ive watched those lumberton raiders play some fine teams over the last couple of years
& they have done well, & i can see some of those good athletes this year at kirbyville, yes wildcats will
be tough this year I think really tough. newton will be starring those guys right in the face. good luck to
you guys this year, go eagles ,go wildcats

dayton bronco fans, you guys have a good football team again this year. your teams have earned all
our respect. coach s will have the guys back in the playoffs again this year. hope you broncos stay
healthy & good luck to your season, keep that district title at home. thank for all your positive post
on this thread. truly dayton has something special going on . good athletes, some really good, great fan
base ,quality coaches & really nice football facilitys, this comment is deserving to you guys. thanks
for the great competion these broncos bring every year. great to see the followers of them raiders
last night. the travel, rain, the short wait, cheering our guys on. good scrimmage, thats what it was.
being played its worth keeping scoe, keeping score its worth winning, way to go raiders. raiders need to
work on some things, no need to get into that ,just proud the way the guys who did not start the
first half, showed up big for the second half. good pass game, good defense game, need work on rush
offense, but it was better than last week. my nephew ,mr beard, was sore from all them blockers from
dayton popping him. said that his quads was sore but knee was really good. missed some reads & started a little late but he will get stronger & stroner as time goes, oh, he will get some carries this
year, coach said he will just bye his time until its time to rumble down the field. ryan hughes lookes really good, young man deserves his due,he has put in the time. jesse & kyler are gonna be awesome,
what about the younger player coming in, them sophies, they looking good. oh, coach creduer & his
staff are some awesome guys, never think that they are not worth their due, keep these guys & follow
daytons, wos, ned, example, find a good one & take care of these guys, tradition is born, thanks again dayton broncos, thanks again lumberton raiders & good luck this year

way to go red raiders

one thing i do know, you cant replace green & dugat, smesney, &other kids the broncos had
the last two years, but this thing is for sure ,dayton will be alright. they have some really fine
athletes over there. coach stewart & his staff will have them ready, just need a little time to
bring them broncos together. still will probably win district. they still tha champs. as for as them raiders
go, they will be alright also. o-line grew up a little tonight ,heck the did not have a choice with them
bigguns over there. mr beard played one half, ryan h. played exactly one half except for the last 4
plays after the 2nd string qb got a bruised knee, just to finish the game. i know that the fellas that
started the d & o , most like 75 % did not play hardly at all the second half, regardless if they are
second team are not, coach c said he was going to mix it up. good job to both teams & no dicing
either team here, i think both can get better & both teams can go into the playoffs. if anyone cares, here is the stats ( the totals ) that i came up with, they are not perfect , but they are close.
LUMBERTON :
rush offense : 28 attempts - 75 yards
pass offense : 12-19 - 182 yards ( 2 - td )
2- sacs for loss by dayton
1 -fumble -recovered by lumberton
16 yards loss on rushes
DAYTON :
PASS OFFENSE : 11-17 - 59 YARDS
RUSH OFFENSE : 18 attempts - 157 yards
2 sacs by raider defense -21 yds loss
33 yds loss on rushes
2 - loss fumbles
both teams played hard & no crap on tthe field ,good job broncos & raiders. i think lumberton has the most room to grow & get better, but both teams will definately get better, good luck guys ;D

on another note, those nasty teeth keeps popping up on the top & bottom of my screen, now that
looks nasty. i my goat has better looking teeth than that dude ,whitner or not ;D ;D : oh this is
a lumberton football poster. :P

beard ok. hes back. smashed end of finger on tackle, hes ok

silsbee will get a playoff spot this year, but eyeing this district title ,nocking off wos ,those
mighty stangs ,i dont think so. seen their scrimmage today, against kville, wildcats are going to be strong
this year, they looked really good. silsbee has some good players & other than one long run by johnson.
kville d showed up,sorry newton, 2nd again this year. ;D ;D ;D ;D

a degree is not (just) a piece of paper, its the future of many a people.its 4 plus years of ones life.
as for as wtb, he was not a student coach, an assistant coach that worked at the varsity level to.
thats my bad & i told him that. wtb & myself have never had bad blood & probably never will. he has
helped with young mens recruiting to some extent. good luck to him. as for as lumberton football goes,
i think coach c & his staff is getting those young men ready for another good year. them raiders
have looked really good at practice this year. a lot will hinge on the o-line coming around & they have
looked descent, only time will tell. if qb performs (throws) in a game like he does in practice they will
be fine. ryan h. has put on some muscle & weight & throws the ball on a rope good touch also.runnung
back po will be fine, beard was told they know what he can do & would be called on when needed.
im think a 9.6 yd per carry last year speaks for it self. recievers are good, just need to get it to sparks more,,good kid.defense looked like same aggressive style we are used to, some new faces that will help
s sparks should help out a lot, d line is solid, not big but solid. good luck raiders this sat. see ya there
-
coop, wrong info: kirbyville 2 - silsbee 1 ( first teams both ways)
johnson one run for about 50+ yds for td, sacked once but no other pos. yd runs. about 4 for 10 on passing
for maybe 50 yds . running game wasnt very impressive, kirbyville will be very good in 2 a this year.
kirbyville had a 65 yd td run & a 50+ pass play for td. kirbyville defense was better than silsbee d.
kirbyville moved the ball on the ground at about 6 to 7 yd average. recievers dropped 2 balls for silsbee.
good scrimmage both sides. deweyville went against 2nd teams offense & defenses, did good i left at this point. wos will be favorite again until the other wannabeeeeees nock them off. :o :o :o :o

just let ac put his helment in your a$$$$$$ & you will forget how much he benches, u will probably forget
what county your in. guys ,when someone posts something on here , just dont go in their spouting
negs all over the place. a lot of times it shows just how ignorant some posters can be. texas tech visit
that anthony took ,wich i took him, those coaches, strength coach, said they are not interested in
stuff like bench press, ect. they want athletic players, they can strengthen in normal playing motions.
i doubt hookem is d-1, he would know this
-
hookem,i know some young men who can bench press 400 + lbs ,yet they cant hold mr beards jock
strap, look at highlight reel & see for yourself. lot of heavy lifters out their but lots of them cant chew
gum & walk at the same time. you close on ball carriers & make tackles, you dont run up on them,
lay down ,& bench press them a couple of times. ??? ???

lumberton linebacker anthony beard recieved an offer from colorado st last night, this makes his sixth official offer.to date, he said he is interested in what this schools about, said he liked their coaches anthony favs. are missouri & colorado, but still is looking at arizona. texas tech might have
an inside track also, but they have emailed at least 10 times in last monh following his progress.
it looks like they will offer in sept. after they see him play a couple of games, at least that what
we are hearing. another note, i saw the full layout of his colorado offer, $$$$$$$$ for four
years, i did not have a clue that an athletic scholarship approaches these amounts, anyway congrats
to anthony, young man now is at 227 lbs ,benching 335, & is starting to run really well, keep up
the everyday work young man. tulane also wants to offer & wants him to come by & run for them,
they said they just want to see him at least do this & they would offer also. did i mention lamar finally
called . ;D
-
my neph ,the man anthony beard, presses 225 at 17 to 20 times. max i believe was 330
two weeks ago. he pressed 230 with 11 reps last wed, after a workout.
-
after watching alexius for the last two years, & seeing what she has done during her out of schools meets, i would have to say she has to be the top are at least shares that title. she is just an awesome
athlete & competitor, sha has proven that to us all, not comparing her to professinal athletes &
the multipal sports they might have ecxelled in, ms brannon is the top in track period.

lumberton sophmore leslie beard will be heading back to u. texas to jump in the 4a pole vault
competion this june 5-6. as a freshman leslie jumped at state where she finished 8th , while
this was not her best meet at jumping, she still enjoyed the state finals wich did help her this
year. she has jumped 11'6 at the woodlands qualifiers meet, ranking her in the top 12 of all
class a schools in texas. good luck miss beard, show your cousin anthony how its done ;D ;D

congrats silsbee & lumberton on a good contest. bottom line either team could have won, lumberton
came away with the win. silsbee has no reason to hang their heads. both teams need to work on some things, the raiders offense was not to par tonight . its the worst i have seen them this year, but you
have those games, you find a way to win . a win is a win. those hardin county friends have a solid team
they will contend every contest this year good luck to the tigers, great group of young men. looks like no serious injurys tonight for either team, good game setx.
