Refs have caused this fiasco. It is some coaches on both sides trying their best to rise above some horrible officiating.

Huntington has had 2 players ejected. One at the half. One just now. huffman responds. With a TD 48-14

34-14 Huffman at the half. interesting half coming up. I hope both teams can play above the poor level of officiating. i don’t bash officials too much, it’s a hard job and they aren’t appreciated for how much they get right. But they are really not doing a good job of keeping control here.

High drama here. Huffman stuffed a TD attempt with 3 seconds left. Ref spotted ball short and clock ran out. Ref signaled end of half. Hunt coach walked out complaining. Refs huddled up and called for a TD. oh boy. then Huffman coaches started jawing with refs up to and during extra point. of course the kids starting pushing and shoving after the extra point. really dumb sequence for the refs here. they missed the TD and changed their mind WAAAAYYY after they called the half, or they got pressured into calling it a TD. Either way, pretty ugly sequence. The kids and coaches are all agitated now.

Huntington is marching with 58 secs left.

#2 Gavin Bragg has at least 2 sacks and 3-4 TFL’s. Playing out of his mind.

Huffman has a good defensive stand and gets the ball on turnovers. 1st play is a 60yd TD pass to #22. 34-7 Huffman with 1:40 left in first half.

#7 hurdles the defender for another Huffman TD. Amazing play.

Buncha bad attitudes on the field. too hot to be nice. I like it.

13-0 Huffman with 5:25 left in the 1st. HH jumped on them quick. 2 TD passes.

Too early to tell at this point. Water is Still receding in some areas so it’s difficult to say. it sucks but at some point the district has to move on and try as best they can.
