So, why do refs call plays dead when the d-lineman jumps offsides and the ball is snapped. I know there is a safety thing where you don’t want to let a kid get hurt when they do that and maybe maul a QB....but is it ref discretion to let the play go for the offensive freebie? this crew had an early whistle on an offsides that Huffman benefitted.
