I have to brag just a moment here. Roschonsbigbro if you will permit me. My Brothers stepspn played on Roschon's junior league football  team. This was when he was 12. I can remember how mature he was for his age. He was a very talented young man and many already knew he was destined to be were he is at now. Guys and gals I cannot say this enough Roschon is a great football player and an even better kid. He is extremely dedicated tobeing the best student and player he can be. I say this notto take anything away from any other kiddos on our team. Just wanted to say something in his favor because he never will. Proud of our Indians and the direction they are headed.  Alot of you know this but those who do not his older brother is Jerimiah Rose former Indian reciever. Great family of Indians

I would not underestimate any team left on the schedule. Its not going to be a cakewalk. Central has athletes, and all it takes is that little thing called MOMENTUM... PN-G needs to try and shore up some issues on the defensive side of the ball. When you are undersized, and not loaded with team speed.... You need to be able to do one thing well... And that is tackle well..... BF might want to address this..... If we can play our "A" game, we should have the opportunity to win.... Offensive line needs to get it in check as well... That being said, these are all adjustments that can and should be made... I feel like this will get taken care of this week and we should be OK. The bottom line is that our D gives up tons of point to every good opponent we play in the BF era.... Guess I will just have to get used to it.... I will give these kids credit. I see half the team in the gym every week.. They are working hard and doing everything possible to get better....

Once again - I'm not the one crying, just a casual sports fan. But don't be the "not shaking hands" team and not expect blowback from local communities. The same people promoting HS players not to shake hands are the same ones wanting to know why their character is questioned. Can't have it both ways.
You want respect, give it. You want to be disrespectful, expect to be disrespected.

Can we keep this to sports so it doesn't get locked again guys. I look forward to this game and expected some good back and forth from Titan fans. We got all the way side tracked.
Baby bro throws two and runs two in this one bringing his td total to 31 on the season. Hines and Angelle will look like monsters in this one though in their own rights.  Hughes has a clutch performance, people forget he is right near the top of stats as a rusher, very productive kid. PNG defense never stops PAM but slows it down enough after halftime. PAM goes up in score first but loses the lead and never regains.

Our Stadium is listed as seating 13,000. Our home side is bigger because we most definitely needed it.  We WILL pack your visitor side this coming Friday. This is a most anticipated game.

The only reason it doesn't is because the Reservation is built differently. You guys home side is way bigger than your visitors side. Memorial Stadium is equal on both sides.

    Captain Obvious says...
On defense, PN-G has decent size along the front seven and the Indians can go toe-to-toe with anyone stopping the run between the hash marks.  When Vidor gashed PN-G for big yards, it sounded like a play that got Quirante or Hecklon to the edges [didn't see the game].  Protecting the edges and containing PAM's speed is a concern...big concern.  This game could be a repeat of Angleton v. PN-G, where Angleton ran the ball at will on the Indians...Angleton's RB got to the edge and PN-G did not have an answer.  The Indians have to try and keep PAM's RB in the middle of the field where there is help to get him down.  The Indians are size-challenged in the secondary.  Not much you can do about it besides play hard and use all of the talent God has given you.  The Indians have to keep everything in front of them and get as many defenders to the ball as possible.  Easier said than done.  Do not get beat deep.  Make PAM march down the field.  If they do that and score, then tip your hat to them and get ready for the next series.
On offense, PN-G has to protect the ball...and protect Roschon Johnson when he is looking downfield.  PN-G has to keep PAM out of the backfield.  Spread out the Titans and create as many running lanes as possible.  When you have a shot to throw it downfield, do it.  If Coach Faircloth has saved any tricks, i.e., fake punts, swinging gate, a play we have never seen before, the PAM game may be time to give it a shot in the right circumstances.  Do whatever you have to do to create momentum.
Looking forward to seeing this game at Memorial Stadium.  Lots of memories watching PN-G play Thomas Jefferson and Lincoln during the 1970s and 1980s at Memorial Stadium.
    Go Indians.  Peace.

This will definitely be a GREAT game! Hat's off to both PNG and Vidor!  I kinda feel like Vidor has been the underdog in the district for a few years.  I have seen the kids from Vidor play with all their heart over the years, only to come up short. I've always had respect for Vidor....and always will.  This is not discounting any other team in our district.  We ALL know that ANYTHING can and WILL happen on any given Friday night in Southeast Texas high school football.  In 1982, my wife, who is from "The Groves," and I got married.  I remember my first experience at a PNG game....it was like nothing I had ever experienced before...the sound of the war drums.....the thousands of fans.....the dedication...and yes, the HONOR....PRIDE....TRADITION....is REAL and is unmatched.  All three of our kids went through PNGISD....playing football, my son was the Indian Spirit, my daughter an Indianette Lieutenant.  And now, we have our first grandbaby who will be going to PNGISD in a few years.  I'm an administrator in another school district, and honestly nothing can compare to PNG's tradition...whether they are winning or losing.....the fan base will come out and support the Indians.  Prayers for the players out on the field this Friday night, and prayers for the good folks of Vidor as you come see us at The Reservation.

Sad thing is many people are misled that chemo/radiation are the only cure for cancer. I respect MD Anderson, I have great doctors and surgeons over there, but I am so glad/fortunate to have found alternative (non-toxic) treatments. I can't imagine having to push those types of lethal drugs into patients daily; knowing the majority of the times they are going to feel worse than better shortly after administration. I truly believe that one day chemo will be outlawed and there will be a better, less toxic standard form of treatment. Problem is big pharm makes too much money off of their current forms of treatments (which are said to treat the current cancer, but have side effects of causing another form of cancer). They can't patent natural organic plants/herbs that God already put on this earth to heal people. Meaning they wouldn't make the millions they already are making off current patients.
But, this thread isn't about the job titles you hold and how you serve the general public. It's about (and needs to remain about) two hardworking athletic organizations that have strived diligently to be undefeated this season. Looking forward to a great game that is sure to keep both fan bases on the edge of their seats.

    Spoken well.
Here is a good analogy for Robert Smith (Curelover).... When you are a kid in Port Neches and Groves, you play sports from a early age. You have 2 types of parents.. The parents they give the participant ribbons and tell you "We are all winners"... Then the ones that tell you.."You just lost, if you want to win, you better give more"... Usually, by middle school, the Participant parents head out of town and the others push the kids to strive for excellence... This goes with you throughout life... I want to win at everything I do... If I dont, Im mad, and keep trying until I do win at it.. Just a way of living.... You laugh at Honor, Pride, and Tradition... We dont... When I die, bury my ass in PURPLE.... Sounds stupid to you... A way of life for others... If I would have prepared for a week, and Danny Malone told us to give up after we had a lead, I would be highly upset.... That man instilled one thing in me... Be a winner.... So, it is what it is... You might hate us.... I am totally good with it.... Throw those Vs up....It wont hurt my feelings... When I walk in the REZ, i get chills, along with 8500 other folks every other Friday night..... Call us arrogant... Call us crazy, call us losers, call us big headed... I call us INDIANS.... And that chump........ You cant buy at your local HEB in Vidor or Katy......

You are fricken clueless. Our fight song CHEROKEE is an old Jazz song....NOT TAKEN FROM FSU. Maybe you don't have a "twinkling" idea of what Jazz music is. At least we have our own version of it. Yall just play the same one

    From the PNG website:

In the early 1950s Frank Gioviale was instrumental in starting a girls marching group that became
    the famous Indianettes.
Beaumont High School’s school song was “Our Director.” So was Port Neches’. Frank decided to
compose a tune that was different and unique to Pt. Neches. He did, and the choir director wrote the
lyrics. In fact, Frank wrote two songs but the people in the community did not like them. They wanted
“Our Director.” So it stayed as the school song. Around 1955 the band began playing “Cherokee” as a
pep song. Frank arranged this song to be played as a chant that would instantly be recognized. Lynne
Jeffrey (now Lynne James) wrote the words to “Cherokee” in 1959. Also in 1959 the twirlers created
white fringe traditional Indian uniforms with sequined belts. Cecile Holstead, drum majorette, wore the
first headdress. In the early and mid 1960s the Marching “I” was developed and added to the half time
    performances.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you're referring to War Chant that we play every now and then when the team is on Defense and the fans do the chop in the stands...now that is from FSU. That is NOT our Fight Song
We have been smack talking with all the Vidor fans...go on with your little dark cloud
    OFF of Soap Box now!
