common "itiswhatitis"tell your buddy he is gonna have to play a couple of these kids both ways.
-
No way winning state, they will be playing for second or third in district. Neumann has Krautz, that's all he needs is one stud like that.PNG has the athletes, gotta have some mindset change about playing some of these ATHLETES both ways.
-
like I said stratax.. "png looks tired" even though we don't play anyone both ways. What's the gain?
-
Until we get over not playing people two ways we are playing for second or third. Neuman only needs one stud every year . Give him one play maker and everyone else is playing for second. Can't imagine what our secondary improvement would be saying Sullivan and Achee playing corners.
-
good game as expected. Teams in the last few years have been better in first half versus second half which is 180 degrees of teams from past of few years.Hopefully they will make defensive adjustment because I'm not buying we will be better in third and fourth quarters because we don't play players both ways. This is not Odessa Permian, we don't have 3000 students.
-
Too many athletes in receiver corp to not play somebody both ways in defensive backfield. Secondary got exploited on the first series. We will see if they settle in.
-
Great season Indians. This team is majority juniors, they will be back next year.
-
If you don't you have a problem. I promise the teams left, well they are very weak I won't resort to saying how bad they really are.

Can Nederland get past GCM, Lumberton and Sterling for 4 straight undefeated?

I actually agree with the 20-4a picks, although #6 and #7 might be interchangeable.
I think #4 and #5 may also be interchangeable...

I hope, but probably not. Unless the youngsters come around late in the season. I think they are still a season away. Gonna be young. -

Guys give it time. One more year until the NDNS of old will be in full force. Bank on it ;)
I will agree with this. -
Nederland will not have any rivalry like PNG. It is what it is.
And for some that may have not been around five years ago, we heard plenty about a group of 7th graders that are getting ready to graduate from Nederland now. Heard about them from then until this year. I called their success from back then as well. Sometimes a special group of kids come through. They were very talented just as PNG's freshman this year. They pretty much went through the district without much of a challenge, they will be tough, count on it. -

That Freshman team at PNG is really good.

I got to see them play a good LC-M team and they couldn't have impressed me more.
Thats my oldest boys age group. I've watched that group for a long time and they have the athletes in that group to compete with anyone around here. Should be a good group for ya'll in the future.
Thanks for the nice words. We are looking forward to this group, they ran through the district real well.

Was referring more to what I believe will be stacked talent wise in a couple years. It didn't sound good the way I said it, looking at it. Not meaning anything against this years team, just really looking forward to what is coming. Morse is the real deal, believe me. These are kids I am familiar with and have watched against others in youth and middle school. Unlike some I am not concerned with this years defense, but do feel we will have to find some type of running game. Also a little concerned with QB but we have the best quarterback coach around and should end up ok there. I do trust Faircloth on that front.

Morse is a great athlete and an even better kid. The future looks bright.

Looking for big things in the next three years from this young man!
No doubt! If we can get through a couple challenging years for the next two, things will get real good. -

its gonna be close through 3 qtrs, but png pulls it out in the 4th for a 28-17 win
I agree with this. We have a lot more depth and Faircloth doesn't play people both ways. -
I can't see anyone beating Nederland this year. This is their year. This is the group they have been waiting for. As I said about PNG in 1999, this is there really good chance to go very deep. The talent is there.

1.Nederland
2.Ozen
3. and 4. will be between Central,Vidor, Livingston,PNG. -
1. Nederland
2. Ozen
3. Vidor
4. PNG or Livingston -

Try never. Vidor didn't start consistently making the playoffs in baseball until it was expanded to four teams.
And that was actually the same time they got arguably the best coach in the district. -
Congrats Ozen. The scary part is how young they are. Ozen , Nederland, and Vidor have a lot coming back next year. These three will be back in playoffs next year.
-
Hope we can complete the sweep. I have a lot of respect for Dayton. We will have to bring our A game. Look forward to the support from all of 20-4A.

Where is the BH mouths? I'm sure they will continue talking on their thread , but there is no way they will click their mouse on this one.lol

Faircloth will not play kids both ways. He is a fantastic coach, but he had to realize he is at PNG not Odessa Permian. We have reciever group that is badass. Can't tell me they couldn't help at the corners. This is what non district is for...learning. Hopefully it was learning experience. Best of luck to STANGS, first class program!
