We will be there with bells on unless it is pouring down rain which is a possibility.  That could change game plans for the Jags, but I really want them to win. Most Central fans were very gracious when we beat them and we appreciate that.  None of us want a repeat of two years ago.  PNG Indian fans may be fanatic, but I've never known them to be sore losers or to deliberately show poor sportsmanship. Go, Jags, we'll support you all the way!! We also appreciate your support for our boys. Scalp 'em, Indians!
 2.
I han heard both Willis ang Mag. had already agreed to play in Baytown. I just dont see Willis coming to Bmt. as a neutral site.
YES. They got their choice of when to play(Sat); we got choice of place. 7:00 at the Butch

 4.

BHFAN- It is obvious you did not see the game. Turnovers are made, not accidents! When you see the size and aggressiveness of both our offense and defense you will understand why people are picking us to slaughter your team.
I have seen you play 3 times this year.  Nothing special and BH is over-all bigger and faster.
More garbage from last year--remember 21-7??

 7.
Jeff the Jet!! You can tell there are alot of young people on this board if they say anyone else!! ;D
I agree. PNG's had a lot of "talent" over the years, but someone like Jeff Bergeron only comes around every 50 or so years.  He had more than just talent--he was the only RB we had that could ever be compared to Gordon LeBoeuf (God rest his soul). They were players that had a God-given talent that can't be taught or learned; it was just natural. I'm still waiting for us to have another natural like they were.

Chase Bertrand is the real deal and best back in SETX. And, to top it off, he'll be back next year!
 9. I saw both Jeff and Dustin play several times, and both were great, but Jeff is undoubtedly the best high school player I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of good players. Jeff was an All American; Dustin was not.
 10. If this award is issued based on ability only, the winner has to be Caleb Harmon.
 11.
One of  my  best friends lives in that area.  He makes good money (NASA) and is a computer genius (IMO).  He drives from there to my home in Groves, and works on my computers.................................for free. ....................................which one do you think is smarter???
Proud, did you mean "he used to drive....etc.?"  You better hope you bet friend doesn't read this.  ROFLMAO
 12.
Doesn't matter.  You lose you go home.
I agree with you.(doesn't matter)  The reason I am [b]NOT[b] agreeing with ShlyKBMT is that we had a son who started on the last state championship team in 1975 and we heard the same exact thing over and over when we were in the playoffs ("PNG is too light but they are disciplined and execute well, but will probably lose to _______.") They were rated #3 in the state the day we won the championship game, for goodness sakes! The Indians just kept on trucking one day at a time and that's what this team is going to do, also! Scalp 'em, Indians!
 13.
Great game both teams PNG was a little off in the middle of the game. There defense was playing soft for awhile. PNG will play better football next week. BH great game great QB. Good Luck to you all next year.
And kudos to the gentleman from Dayton who sent a card and a nice note to Mr. Davenport, our fan who had a heart attack during the PNG vs. Central game.  What a good sport and great football fan! If you read this, know that it makes a difference about how people feel about Dayton.  I now am sure Dayton is full of nice people, just like Port Neches and Groves!  Good luck in the future. Come yell with us next week==you'll be welcomed.
 14.
Just looked at some pics of Aldine's staduim, there isn't a track.  So while Brenham's coach may be limiting our fan base, we are gonna be real close to the field.  I'm sure y'all know where I'm going with this: we're gonna be even louder.  Also, with the seats on the grass in the endzone it is gonna be loud and PACKED.  A bigger stadium would be nice, but I would like to see Brenham try to score with our fans jumping and screaming at them from the endzone they are trying to score in.
We'll be there and I'll be screaming! I'll use my "teacher's voice" and I guarantee you they'll here me across the field. lol
 15. Just want to share something.  When Mr. Davenport got home from the hospital from his heart attack during the PNG-Central game, he was surprised to have received a nice card and note from a Dayton fan who said he was praying, along with many other Dayton fans, for his speedy recovery.  What classy fans Dayton has! I was so impressed.  I am glad to know that Dayton has such nice, caring fans.  You won't see me ever saying a negative thing about Dayton. Their fans, like ours, realize that football is important, but character is even more important.
 16. Just for the record, BF did not win the toss and this venue is not his choice.  We've had others try games like these (limiting fan attendance) and they all ended up paying for it.  Our fans will show up and show up in droves.  Make our fans and players mad and you may not score even one point.  We are way overdue a shut out!
 17.
No, not a PNG hater.  I like PNG, and I love the tradition!  I just think the jury is still out on them.  If you want to get down to it, I think they have only beaten 1 quality team, Central.  11-0 is a great accomplishment, but I just think that Brenham will be too much for them too handle.  I hope I am wrong.  Sorry I don't see things through purple and white glasses.  Like I said, not a hater, just not a full fledged believer, just yet.
And your point? Are we supposed to care what you believe?
 18.
Oh chill out Squaw .. This Forum here is for Opinions .. i just voiced mine like everyone else does .. if you don't agree then its your opinion.
I have NO problem with your opinion, but your remark that Nederland played in the rain and mud is ludicrous! I personally stood 4 hours in the pouring rain and sat another 2 hours at Livingston. Also, it got bitter cold and we almost froze.
 19.
Sad to say I was one of those who got a head start after Centrals last TD  :-\!  Only because my Mom was with me an she has a hard time getting around, so we were trying to beat the crowd.  Well, we were under the stands when the fans went CRAZY...I dropped all my stuff on the grass and ran to the fence to see what happened...didn't see the run back so I had no idea what had just happened, but I knew it was good...someone kindly filled me in!  ;D  I will NEVER to that again...cause I know them NDN's never quit until the last second tics off the clock...way to go boys...taught me a good lesson!
Happens to every fan-once! We were playing Bridge City and were 2 td behind with 2 minutes left.  We left disgusted and missed the best comeback in history! Glad we won, but would've liked to be there. We don't leave before the game is completely over now!
 20.
Brandon Faircloth took a team from 3-6 and turned them into a 10-0 team in a single season. You can't top that. Larry Neumann took a PARTIAL team from day 1 and played the likes of Friendswood .. W.O.Stark .. Waller ..etc. and has a ton of injuries on btoh sides of the ball and even until the last game has kids hobbling on ancd off the field and still fine a way to go 4-3 in District play and into the playoffs. You would have to be around and see whats really happened with this team to overcome so much adversity and injuries, everyone writing this team off and they would hear nothing of it. These guys played in the mud, rain, beat up and  4 different QB's. My hat goes off to Coach Neumann and staff for a tremendous job having these boys ready and playing with so much heart. My vote is as follows: Larry Neumann  Coach of the Year Brandon Fairthcloth a close 2nd
oh, PNG did not play in the mud, rain and have injuries? Come on, man, and get real! He took a team that had to learn everything new and won.  Glad there are some Nederland fans (not you) with good sense! Faircloth first; Jaguars coach second.
 21.
Gooooooooooooooooooooo    Jaguarssssssssssssssssssssssss
LTrain hit a sour grape truck at the intersection?
 22. We were sitting on the 50 for that game and saw all the others as well.  Dustin Long was truly a great qb-no denying that! Our running game was good, also.  BUT, our team was not truly balanced.  Without Dustin, we'd of been OK at best.  Dustin was responsible for beating Schertz.  We had good running backs that didn't get any playing time when we played for state and I still contend that had they ran more with the ball and mixed up the run/passing we could've won.  A running team can be beat, a passing team can be beat, but mix it up and do both and you have a great team.
 23.
I remember the 1999 team, this years PNG team is far from the same caliber team.  The 1999 had better players at every position, not even close.
Sorry, but you're dead wrong! In our last state championship win (1975), we were picked to lose every game and "executed" our way to a state title. This team is much more balanced than the 1999 team was, (much as it hurts to say it.)  If we'd run the ball more, we could've beat Stephenville. If this team continues like it has the past 3 games, a state playoff game is very possible. Bring 'em on!
 24. As an old Indian fan, I see something very clearly that some people have missed! NOBODY outside of "bleed purple" PNG fans understand the bond we all have. A friend from work once said "I went to Port Neches today and I just don't get it."  I asked what he didn't get and he replied "everyone says PN is God's country and I didn't see it".  My response was that "PNG has something that is ingrained in all Indians and its something that cannot be seen-it is pride, honor, tradition and a genuine love of our school and communities". True PNG fans do NOT leave before the game is over--win or lose.  They do not attend games only when the team is winning--they go win or lose.  They have pride--we always "expect" them to win and are always proud of them.  Hubby played for the Indians in the 50's, son in the 70's and we will die Indian fans.
 25.
Losses are losses, but we lost to dayton by 3, and crosby by six. Those are not blowouts. If not for a pick six by crosby, we would have won. Yes they are all losses and yes we are 5-5, but if you think PNG will win by 20 points you are mistaken.
I don' think we will win by 20 points, either!! I think it will be much, much worse!
