I remember that decision Soulja, and WB should have won against FB (Hightower's Pro Qb Carr/ raiders).  Arrogance kills.  He was a good coach, but by no means was he Alex Durley.  

Finally!  Yeoj you hit the nail on the head.  Stop the madness, the only constant is that this AD has been in place for most of the ridiculous decisions concerning the Ozen and BISD sports as a whole.  When does he get called to the carpet? Enough with the hire the people we know crap!  Problem is, the state of affairs at Ozen due to the previous changes, it will difficult to attract anyone proven who would be willing to come in and deal with the current structure.

That's the problem with BISD's athletic director, he sucks! He never goes out and get the perfect coach. He just does backroom deals with local guys he already knows. SMDH... The board should dissolve his position and bump each head coach's salary up to $110K and make them the AD for their high school and feeder schools. Then post all three jobs and get the best candidate for each school. This revolving coach's door is some straight up BS! And, its about damn time Saveat be held accountable.

No, I don't think there are any Lamberts left.  I actually think this was pre orchestrated by the man himself.  See how it's playing out? How convenient is this?  No spring football to coach, he's not coaching 7 on 7, just show up and teach PE getting paid and all the while, not able to make a move until the contract is over.  Then he has the nerve to say that coaching again elsewhere isn't out of the question.  But it'll probably be conveniently for the young men that he'll coach for next.  Just very tacky on his part all around....

Smh so the board of managers and the AD will postpone the hiring process because Suggs contract want expire until June. Thats ludicrous and a recipe for failure. I cant believe the Ozen community,fans and booster club arent making a swift path to the administration office demanding action be taken immediately to fill the head-coach job. Hiring a coach in July is basically giving the new hire about a month to prepare for the season. Again a recipe for failure. Seems like there's others with the same agenda Ms L had. jmo.....

Not to mention the same playoff run, knocked the #2 Ranked Brenham Cubs after beating Barber's Hill and before losing to LaMarque in the Monsoon.  IJS Despite the overall record, You could see progress in the kids, and the program as a whole, since then we have not seen much of either.  Great Athletes, but no one to coach them up and as an Ozen faithful it is difficult to watch.  I feel for these kids, as there seems to be a new coach every year that's no way to build a program.  I agree, BISD's coaches are underpaid and for that your best shot is at landing a good coach that has not been given a shot yet and hope that he by chance can do what others haven't.  If you land a good coach, you can't keep him because once others recognize his worth they will pay him and he will move on.  The problem is layered and there are many factors that, prevent the BISD teams from being as successful as they could be.  The bottom line is collectively there are some good teams here and there but no programs are being built here.

Everyone has the right to pursue whatever employment they desire. However its unfortunate that Ozen's head football coaches seem to bail out at the end of the school year leaving the program in limbo and administration scrambling to hire a replacement. The kids continue to suffer from this.The program was already on life support imo.  Was there any explanation given why this resignation occurred at this late date ? This program will struggle to compete on the 5A  level. Some seem to think this is the plan. Suggs opt to stay in 5A then 3 months later abandons ship.Smh....

Do a little research.  Nelson improved that program and it was on the brink of competing constantly before he was fired.  His last year, they made the playoffs, knocked off previously unbeaten Barbers Hill and made the 3rd round of the playoffs before bowing out in a physical game to then, state power LaMarque.  That says a lot compared to the way the team was pathetic before he got there...

Actually, they should've kept Coach Lewis when they first opened, but they ran him off after going to the playoffs.

BTW, my guy would be Jeff Nelson.  He had Ozen on the right track until Lambert happened...
