  1. Come back win! Cards take game 2 against Nicholls 9-7 as they go extra innings again tonight. Rubber match and a huge game tomorrow.
  2. Cards fall in extra innings 5-4 last night. Now have a 1 game lead on Nicholls.
  3. Cardinals more to 37-10 on the season with an 8-4 win over Rice on the road. Off to Nicholls for the biggest conference series of the season to this point.
  4. Wrap up the final home series with a 7-1 win. Louisiana bound for 3 weeks. See you all in Hammond for the tournament. Well, any of you that attend.
  5. Giving away 2 alcohol beverages to teachers today. No, I am not joking.
  6. Hoping for them to get it in as well. Game time now moved to 2. If any of you look at the standings, DON'T use the conference website as it once again has inaccurate records. The Nicholls UIW series has Nicholls winning both games thus far in the series. The 2 teams have split the first 2 of their series. Snake has it correct.
  7. Tomorrow's rubber match has been moved up by 1 hour. Thus, game time is noon tomorrow.
  8. Cards fall 2-0. Big crowd today. Possibly largest of the year.
  9. 8-4. LU takes series opener over Northwestern State.
  10. Cards fall to Rice 8-6.
  11. McNeese and HCU will play the weekend prior to the final week of conference play.
  12. Lamar now holds a 2 game lead on Nicholls and a 3 game lead on UNO. As most if not all if you know, Lamar finishes conference with back to back road trips to those two. Southeastern loses to McNeese today and sits in last place. To make matters worse the 2 teams above them, McNeese and HCU, each hold the head to head tiebreaker. McNeese and HCU face each other the final weekend of conference.
  13. Pull out the brooms, we have a sweep. 8-2 final.
  14. 3-2 nail biter. Big win!!! Cards move to 33-8 and 11-3. Hold a 1 and 1/2 game lead on Nicholls.
  15. 11-3 win. LU with 6 in the 8th to blow it open. Move ro 10-3 in conference and gain a 1/2 game on Nicholls as they are idle this weekend.
  16. Lamar wins tonight 20-2. TSU walked 15 batters in 6 innings. Face UIW at home this weekend.
  17. My question is why do those of you that are staunch Republicans, like me, engage this foolishness? We have idiots on college campuses behaving like 1930's Germany and you all engage this thread. Where the hell is our next Rush Limbaugh to teach you all again to leave the defense alone and attack the lefts evil and foolish ways. Cardinal just beat you all to hell simply by having any of you having a single response to this. He defined the narrative for 5 pages of waste. Pull your heads out and quit! Simple response if you have to have one on this topic it's I DONT GIVE A DAMN. Now when and if he, U of Cal at Austin Alum, or Big Pronoun Lover responds, I will not. Leave it be! Discuss the things that matter 5 pages of a set up and you all took it. Disappointing!
  18. I was posting the game score for today, however I can see where that would be confusing based on the record. Should have posted score and record.
  19. Ranking will be short lived. Cards fall 7-3. Need to take the next 2 series at home. The chances for a bid instead of having to win the tournament took a big hit this weekend. Still time, but no more hiccups.
  20. Uncle Spidey, staying positive! Y'all leave Uncle Spidey be.
  21. Back on track!! 6-3 win. 30 wins in 37 games. Keep it up, birds!
  22. Was wondering about that as well. Who knows??
  23. Cards drop game on walk off grandslam. Ugh!!!
  24. If those 2 keep winning, they may need to reconfigure Kyle Field for the final series. Seriously, that will be one tough ticket and the 3 largest attended games at Blue Bell may just be all from 1 series.
  25. Lamar still has mostly the upper teir of teams in conference left to face. Need to keep playing quality ball as they prepare for an odd final 3 weeks of the season in May. The final 3 weeks they will essentially be moving the program to the New Orleans area. They finish on the road for the final 2 series starting with preseason favorite (presently 3rd) Nichols, then again travel east to UNO (preseason 3rd and sitting in 2nd) for the season finale starting on a Thursday, and right back to Lousiana and into Hammond for the conference tournament starting Wednesday the 22nd of May. They play UIW and Northwestern State at home the 2 weekends prior to the New Orleans area stretch and those series are right after the trip to Corpus this coming weekend. To any of you that have not been to the tourney when in Hammond, it really isn't a bad place to hold it and for you party people, New Orleans is close. My opinion is that they have the best stadium in the conference. Hope SELA gets in and isn't hosting a tournament with very low attendance due to them sitting out of it. 8 of 9 make it and they should get in.
