Skinner dead center...11-0.
-
Another home run for Orsak. 10-0.
-
8-0 after 1 and 1/2.
-
6-0 OUR Cards after 1/2 inning. 4 doubles and a home run. All very hard hit balls.
-
To my understanding, yes they are.

Lamar v. The Word at 9 tomorrow morning.
-
4 games to go counting the championship game if they can reach the finals. It's HOT and Skinner (catcher) started cramping in the 7th or 8th. Will be interesting to see if he is behind the plate for both tomorrow if they can keep winning. These tournaments can be odd when you can potentially play 6 games in 4 days after never playing more than 5 in a 7 day period during the season. Go Birds. Truly do like the 2 site 4 team set up before a best of 3 series the following week for the 2 winners. Glad to see the conference return to that format.
-
Will be there at 9 tomorrow morning hoping to watch much more Lamar baseball than I had hoped to see. Hoping to see a little better plate discipline. Go Birds.
-
Well, the Achilles Heel bites Lamar. No timely hitting and fall 6-3.
-
Birds vs. Birds in about 15 minutes.
-
Good information. I simply want 3 things. The other side of the bracket to go it's full allotment of games. Anybody but Nicholls (their offense and pitching compliment each other the best from that side of the bracket IMO) coming out of the other side. Lastly, Lamar ease through 3 games on their side. Too greedy???
-
LU and UIW at noon Wednesday. McNeese and Northwestern kick off tournament at 9. This group of 4 is Lamar's side of the bracket.
-
UIW wins 14-4. UIW is 1-5 against SELA and Corpus. This should make UIW the 8 seed. Thus Cards vs. Cards in the first round of tourney. Game time, who knows??? Just thankful they are not facing SELA in their home ballpark to open the tournament.
-
Whoa! That half inning took a while. Birds are the out right champions. HCU and UIW play final game with last spot for tournament on the line (not meaning 8th seed, just final qualifier).
-
Anyone looking for a college game to watch? UIW and the Fightin Lance Berkman's will be playing their double header at Lamar today. Games start at 2. HCU must sweep the double header to get in the SLC tournament and UIW needs 1 win to reach the tournament.
-
Nicholls as you all likely know must lose to McNeese tomorrow for Lamar to be the out right conference champion. That is what most of us want to see. With that said here's an odd scenario that could happen. There are 3 games left in conference play as Northwestern is playing out of conference and 2 of the 4 series are complete. The aforementioned Nicholls vs McNeese and 2 games in the UIW and HCU series are left to play. If Nicholls wins and UIW spilts with HCU there will be a 4 way tie for 5th. McNeese, Southeastern. Corpus, and UIW would all sit at 10-14. No idea on the conference tie breaker for tournament seeds. Truly wish the conference had a better website that already stated this as well as the tiebreaker scenario. It has been one fun season and see you all in Hammond Wednesday. Well, some of you. Go Cards!! Uncle Spidey...you da man!!! Snakehead, thanks for the updates. Everyone else, have a great summer and enjoy what's left of the college baseball season.
-
Come on McNeese! Cards fall 8-6.

MY Uncle Spidey and his positive posts!!!

Lamar leads UNO by 4 runs on 3 separate occasions only to fall behind 9-8 by the end of the 7th. Down to their final strike and get a 2 run double in the top of 9. Hold on and win it 10-9. Now, magic number is down to 1. Nicholls still has 2 games against McNeese left and LU faces UNO in the regular season finale tomorrow. Go Birds!
-
12-3 LU takes opener over UNO. Magic number is 2 for regular season conference championship. Hit 40 wins today. LU plays again today. McNeeseand Nicholls start their series in a few minutes.
-
UNO series starts off with a double header today due to weather concerns.
-
13-3 win over Alcorn. Now at 39 wins. UNO starting Thursday and SLC tournament the following Wednesday. 4 games scheduled the first 3 days of the tournament. Even if you're not a pitch clock fan, you might would appreciate it if your school had the latest game. This is a change from last year. There was a play in game between the 6th and 7th seed, thus only 6 teams were in the "actual" tournament. This year 8 teams qualify for the double elimination format.
-
UNO falls to NSU in today's delayed game. This leaves LU 2 games ahead of UNO as they head their for this week's final conference series starting Thursday. Holding a 1 game lead on Nicholls who finishes with McNeese. Sweep for LU and they take first place. Win 1 and 2nd place is worst case scenario. All other scenarios depend on Nicholls and McNeese outcomes. Could go into the final weekend in 1st yet be in 3rd when all is complete. Big series for LU and if you are an LU fan "suck it up" and root for the Pokes.
-
Cards shut out 3-0. Hold a 1 game lead over Nicholls with Nicholls now holding the tiebreaker. LU finishes up conference next week at UNO and Nicholls faces McNeese.
-
Yes they are! Would have been a great series to travel over and watch.
