  1. I think you are all gonna be upset this week.  I say Splendora by 2 touchdowns.  From what I seen of Hampsire in scrimmage is that they are the ones who aren't physical.  Who ever said the Cats weren't physical hasn't seen too much of them in the past years.  I can't wait to talk trash Saturday once this one is over.

You have sure been real quiet, I thought you were going to start talking trash. All BS

aside I thought Splendora looked pretty good last night. Several mistakess cost you the game. I do not know why you guys do not throw the ball more, you seemed to be pretty descent at it beside the two INT's of course. Hats off to Splendora they should be a pretty descent team in their disctrict.

  2. I think KVille will blow them out by at least 21 Points. Cleveland did not do

much against HF in their scrimmage so that leads me to beleive they won't

stand a chance. I am not knockin my Horns, I just think Kville is just on

another level right now with all that Team Speed & Size they have returning.

If they can stay healthy and eligible they could make a Deep Playoff run. I saw them first hand and I can tell you they are really good. Good Luck to the Kats & Horns.

Watch the way Jake "THE ANIMAL" Koehl plays ball, and then tell us were not physical.
  4. I am telling my age, back in 1986 when I was in school we used to have coachs yell things at the slower guys. They would Yell so and so, your so slow when you run I can count the number of cleats on the bottom your shoes or your is slow as Molasses Syrup. I left off the explicatives that generally accompanied those statements.

  5. [move]There are alot of talk about how some team in 3A can dominate over some big 4A school. What is your opinion on 3A this year[/move]

In my opinion, which does not count for much by the way. The top four in 21-3A

WOS, Jasper, Silsbee & Kirbyville in no certain order, could hold there own against most of the 4A teams here locally because most of them used to be in 4A anyway. WOS & Jasper were and still are dominant forces to be reckoned with.

  6. Here is an in-depth preview and recap of the 1992 3A State Championship game between Southlake Carroll and Coldspring shown on the Alamo High School Extra with host Craig Way. Carroll finished that season at 16-0 and finished 1993 with another 16-0 season before moving up to 4A in 1994. Coldspring finished with a 14-2 record. The 1992 team outscored opponents 803-122 and is considered by many to be the best 3A team of all time. This team is still #7 on the national list for points scored in a single season: National List

What makes this scoring feat so remarkable is that it was done with a run-based offense and many times starters were pulled early in the 3rd quarter. This team may have easily scored 900+ points that year. None of the pass-oriented 5A championship teams that Carroll has produced in the last five years have scored as many points.

Thats awesome. Thats kind of like the 1983 or 84 Daingerfield Team. That defense

they had,  has to be in some kind of record book. Story I heard is it they did not give up any points defensively that year not to mention many first downs. I might have my stats wrong, if I have slept since then.

  7. They should compete with teams and will probably beat Orangefield, Bridge City and H-J......but I'm worried about their defense and if it will suffer with Broussard now at PN-G.  Daigle looks good and so does Cameron Burrell, but I don't see this year's Horns making too much noise!

I hear you, losing Broussard was major "chink in our armor". Did you happen to

catch the scrimmage @ Lumberton ? I read where some Lumberton fans claim HF looked

    pretty decent.

  8. Great Head Coach!

I sure hope so. I hear he is quite the disciplinarian. I think we have

been lacking in that department in the past, no offense to the previous Head

Coach. I guess everyone has their own methods to get kids to buy into what they

are trying to accomplish. I hope he likes to throw the ball some. I believe

that has hurt us in the past.
