  1. I can not speak for the rest of the classifications, however Walt Mangan

in his first year at 21-3A HF gets my vote. He has brought back the HF pride and

winning tradition that we have enjoyed in the past and hopefully well into

the future. He stepped into a really tough distict and now has our kids poised

for a shot at the playoffs, not an easy feate given the competition. Good Luck

Coach Mangan and please stay on at HF for a while.

  2. Well genious as I once heard that even a blind squirral finds an acorn every once in a while. Well...HF beat Silsbee.  We can't beat you every year.  However, the track record can be that you don't lose to us every year, just every 9 out of 10.  That is a track record I would not be proud of.

Go ahead, give me your uneducated rebuttal.

Okay Einstein, look up the definition of rebuttal then read over the post again. Sounds like you are little sore

about your loss to HF. I do not know how familiar you are with HF, but we have have an established winning tradition.

Yeah we had a few down years when we lost our coach to BC. Now we have another good coach that has our kids

believing they can win again. Good Luck Horns beat the Dawgs.

  3. That was a bold prediction ST4life!! Any team making too many mistakes will lose. But I believe the turnovers were even so what was your definition of TOO many mistakes. I saw the game Friday and HF was a better all round team last friday young or old. Will they be this Friday, only time will tell. That is why they play the game. Track record in the past was losing to Silsbee so I guess that track record has changed????? No one has made the playoffs yet but all teams coming out of district 21-AAA will play at least 2 weeks into the playoffs. Good luck to the HF Horns the rest of the way. Beat Jasper!!!!

Touche' my fellow HF fan, good rebuttal.
  4. Silsbee has the most unique stadium, which is really cool, but also the worst parking situation by a long shot. Five billion parking areas that converge into one way out. It took us two hours to get out of there last time.

I will agree with you on this. I was a little upset over the parking as well. Behind the visiting stands is a

parking lot for supposedly adminstators and the Handicapped. The parking lot has at least 200 hundred parking

spaces with only a third being used and still they made us park in the back parking lot a few hundred yards away. I

could see not letting people in there at the first of the game, but come on at half time and the parking lot is only

1/3 full you could let others park there. My Brother had a confrontation with the local Police because he tried to park there, he argued the same fact and still they would not let him.
