I can not speak for the rest of the classifications, however Walt Mangan
in his first year at 21-3A HF gets my vote. He has brought back the HF pride and
winning tradition that we have enjoyed in the past and hopefully well into
the future. He stepped into a really tough distict and now has our kids poised
for a shot at the playoffs, not an easy feate given the competition. Good Luck
Coach Mangan and please stay on at HF for a while.

If this is indeed true then the Kats will win this one big.Heard Burrell is out , Kbvl wins this one by a couple TD'S.
-
HF runs the table:
WOS - 1st place, D1 Rep plays Splendora 1st Round
HF - 2nd place, plays Liberty 1st Round
KV - 3rd place, plays Coldspring 1st Round
-
A HF win over Jasper for our Homecoming would be great.
-
I think HF will be okay, we faced this same kind of speed and offense against WOS and Silsbee and
seemed to matchup pretty good. Contrary to popular belief, HF has a little bit of speed themselves.
I think it will be a close game like last year.
-
airitout123, I thought I would be good neighbor and help you out, beings that I am from HF
and we are uneducated. At least we have all our Teeth.
rebuttal :
A reply intended to show fault in an opponent's argument.
-
Okay Einstein, look up the definition of rebuttal then read over the post again. Sounds like you are little soreWell genious as I once heard that even a blind squirral finds an acorn every once in a while. Well...HF beat Silsbee. We can't beat you every year. However, the track record can be that you don't lose to us every year, just every 9 out of 10. That is a track record I would not be proud of.
Go ahead, give me your uneducated rebuttal.
about your loss to HF. I do not know how familiar you are with HF, but we have have an established winning tradition.
Yeah we had a few down years when we lost our coach to BC. Now we have another good coach that has our kids
believing they can win again. Good Luck Horns beat the Dawgs.
-
LOL, you must be an "air head" if you don't know what the rebuttal was. What a great rebuttal. LOL. Can someone explain what the rebuttal was?
-
Prayers from Horns Country.

I think it will be a high scoring afair. Niether teams defense seems to be stopping anyone.
In the end I think the kats will take it fairly easy.
Kats - 49
Hawks - 35

Does anyone know how good the Jasper Special Teams are, more importantly their Kicking game?

This is another good rivalry, however I got to go with my friends from East Chambers County on this one.
The Bucs should win this fairly easy, however I do not think it will be a Blow Out.
Bucs - 28
Panthers - 14

HF for sure. From being a preverbial 21-3A Door Mat, to a serious contender for a playoff berth in 1 yr.
Thats hard to argue against.

Touche' my fellow HF fan, good rebuttal. That was a bold prediction ST4life!! Any team making too many mistakes will lose. But I believe the turnovers were even so what was your definition of TOO many mistakes. I saw the game Friday and HF was a better all round team last friday young or old. Will they be this Friday, only time will tell. That is why they play the game. Track record in the past was losing to Silsbee so I guess that track record has changed????? No one has made the playoffs yet but all teams coming out of district 21-AAA will play at least 2 weeks into the playoffs. Good luck to the HF Horns the rest of the way. Beat Jasper!!!!
-
No offense taken. I guess you are right, small school players do not get that many "HeadLines". WeDont take this offensive, but it would be real hard for a kid from HF to win it. I agree with you though, he impressed me against us. Good luck to HF MAKE THE PLAYOFFS!!!!!
are lucky just to get our stats mentioned
-
From what I have personally seen, you could give both awards to Tramain Thomas. He is the real
deal, he can take it to the "House " on offense and really bring the "Lumber" on defense. Just my
opinion. I will make an early prediction for next year, HF's Cameron Burrell. He is already making an
impact as a Junior, I would hope that would not change next year.
-
Good Job HF for getting week 6 "Team of the Week". Please do not let all
these accolades go to your heads we still have a tough road ahead of us.
Good Luck against them Jasper Dawgs.
-
Good job Lumberton keep it up. I heard my HF Horns played you guys pretty tuff in our scrimmage.
Maybe next year we can play each other in a pre-season game. Good Luck to both programs as you
march towards a shot at the playoffs.
-
I do not know much about either team, so I am not going to predict.
From what I heard about both programs should be a great game.
Good Luck to both of you.
-
If BC can rise up out of the ashes this could be a good game. Rivalries tend to help players
rise to the occassion however after the Smoke settles off Cow Bayou, OF will be the Victores.
OF - 35
BC - 21

I will agree with you on this. I was a little upset over the parking as well. Behind the visiting stands is aSilsbee has the most unique stadium, which is really cool, but also the worst parking situation by a long shot. Five billion parking areas that converge into one way out. It took us two hours to get out of there last time.
parking lot for supposedly adminstators and the Handicapped. The parking lot has at least 200 hundred parking
spaces with only a third being used and still they made us park in the back parking lot a few hundred yards away. I
could see not letting people in there at the first of the game, but come on at half time and the parking lot is only
1/3 full you could let others park there. My Brother had a confrontation with the local Police because he tried to park there, he argued the same fact and still they would not let him.
-
Wow, I bet that was a great game to attend. I am not poking to much fun at Nederland because I have
some good friends from there however I must reminice something that was said on Smack Attack. Caller
to the radio host (can not remember names) making reference to how PNG "lit up" the new score board.
Now that was funny I don't care who you are.
-
Silbee does have good size and speed, however I don't think they can hang with WOS. HF was able
to run and pass on Silsbee. That WOS defense will give their offense plenty of opportunities to score.
STANGS - 42
TIGERS - 14
-
If HF does not let Homecoming become a distraction and plays 4 quaters of football then I beleive
they will take this one.
