What's the latest on HF's QB and Linebacker? I hope Courville is able to play, he looked pretty good when I saw him play against Silsbee. That 32 is a beast as well.

I believe we lost both of them for the season QB to a foot injury and LB to a knee. OF played really physical that and we were still trying to recover from that pounding that Jasper put on us. We will lose Randall to graduation but hopefully we will have Dustin back for his Senior Year. I wish them well and God Speed on their recoveries.

That sounds Like trademark WOS Football, there is nobody better @ intimidation. Not only do they

intimidate the other teams coaches and fans they intimidate the Refs as well.    

So who votes that Silsbee will make the playoffs?

I think if HF can right the ship and win out, there is chance they will make it. It will

be tall order, HF has a real banged up team right now. I believe we lost our starting QB & LB

for the season. I will say this of their backups they stepped in and played pretty good. I wish

those injured players well and God Speed on their recovery. 

I missed this game for the first time this year. What kind of coaching decisions were made that were poor?? It sounded to me with the stats and comments on here and in the press that OF got after us, and we had some more bad luck in the way of injuries? HF had only 2 possessions in the first half and scored on one? What did you see that went wrong?

We had a few holding penalties that caused some good drives to stall out. As far as the coaches descisions called into to question, I believe it was late in the 3rd and were driving to score to take the lead when we

got one of those above mentioned holding calls. We have a first and twenty, we come up about a foot short of getting a first down in 3 plays, we are facing a 4th down with a foot to go and he called a toss sweep, we were   

stuffed for a loss. The HF fans me included thought he should have called for a QB sneek. Orangefield took the ball

and scored making the score 17 to 7. IMO that was the turning point in the game. 

HF needs for Silbee to win, so I am going to go with the Tigers in this one. KVille has

been giving up a lot of points and in the same token has been scoring alot. I am going

to predict a shoot out with Silbee making a critical stop to take the win.

Good Game Bobcats, they really got physical with our Horns. I believe they knocked our starting QB & LB out for the season. I hate to see injuries and I wish our injured players well. I have to say that this was

a really ugly game, the Horns are not playing with much Heart. The Horns made alot of miscues and Coach Mangan made some poor descisions, IMO. If the Horns can get things turned around then I think that they still have a slim shot a getting in playoffs. I hope we can right the ship and win the next two games. That with a few key losses by Silsbee and KVille could put us in the mix.   

Can anyone out there dispell a rumor I just heard. I heard say the HF vs OF game is going to be

held at a Mid County school. Please advise if there is any truth to this rumor.

If HF & EC merged then I think the School should be named Jefferson-Chambers ISD. There are to many

communities involved to call it anything else. I think the Mascot should be the "Fightin BucHorns"

As for the colors, I like the idea of Blue & Green as this is some of the schools primary colors.

I have seen both sqauds play my HF Horns. If Splendora can stop

Josh White then they take this in a close one.

Man you all have it wrong, how could you vote against HF with their Royal Blue and Vegas Gold

uniforms and sitting atop this wonderful attire is a beautiful Golden Dome adorned with an astonishing

HF is bad by design, we hope that the traveling team fans won't come

cheer their team on if they are not comfortable. Just kidding, we are

a less fortunate school district than other's and can not afford any extra

luxuries. Hey at least we have a descent concession stand.

I went to SFA to watch Newton beat Daingerfield for the 3A State Title. That was a great venue

and not too far away.

What a Heart wrenching story, my condolence to Harrison and his family. Good Luck with the rest of the

That's a fact...everything would make sense if this every happened!  Good football teams and great baseball teams, I'm just no liking the part about keeping the green and the blue, that would be ugly!  I say change it all up.........

How about the East Hamshire "BUCKHORNS". We could be Green & Blue w/ Gold Trim and still keep

both of the Schools colors.

coach tarver is still coaching i talked to him before the school year was over.  i said that about coach stump because i can see it, the ground work is being laid for a tradition of excellence, not just on the field but in the class room, in the weight room, building character.  not that tarver didnt do that its just that he made certain decisions throughout the game itself that left you scratching your head like  ??? for example , october 31, 2003 buna 8 bc 2...we called a pass on 4th and 1, didnt make it, didnt make the playoffs.  tarver was one of my favorite coaches but just by talking to the seniors this year, i know i would do anything to play for coach stump.

I spoke with Coach Tarver this weekend, he is not coaching. He retired however his wife continues

to work.

I don't know, but I think which ever team puts the most points on the score board

has good shot at winning this game ha ha ha !!. Sorry fans just needed a little comic relief.

I can not speak for the rest of the classifications, however Walt Mangan

in his first year at 21-3A HF gets my vote. He has brought back the HF pride and

winning tradition that we have enjoyed in the past and hopefully well into

the future. He stepped into a really tough distict and now has our kids poised

for a shot at the playoffs, not an easy feate given the competition. Good Luck

Coach Mangan and please stay on at HF for a while.

I am still casting a vote for Walt even though he had bump in the road against Jasper. I hope

he has the Horns ready for OF, this could be an upset in the making.

I would have to say even though it pains me to do so, H-J's Hawk Tunnel is

a site to behold. I think our H-F Horns tunnel comes in 2nd.
