Who is Newton losing that is of note?

I agree basketball would be the way I would go, and most people looking at it. But, he is supposedly a football guy. More importantly, you will never get a good football coach if the AD title/money is going to the basketball coach. It is having the cake and eating it too. He gets out of the trainwreck that is Kountze football, doesn't have to be the dude, but still keeps the money that goes with it. Doesn't seem right.

Kountze can't expect to get a good football coach as long as the basketball coach has the AD title.. Pay is already bad, take away the AD rate and there is no point. If he is a football guy, and won't let go of the AD title, why not coach football and hire another basketball coach?

I like J, there is no doubt he is a phenomenal coach. I never thought it was efficient for the AD/HFC to also be the Basketball coach, especially at a place like Kountze. I think it will be good for him to focus on the hardwood.

LJ is the #9 rated WR coming out. Mid-Round type of candidate. 1 more year could have done his stock wonders. Or he could have Allen Hurnsed his leg and not went at all. No ill-will here, make ya money.

I think Bama wins. The mediocrity of the rest of the SEC jumps around beating their chest during the off season because Bama won (helps nobody but Bama). PhatMack goes on a tangent posting article after article about the SEC and how many title the "SEC" has won in the last decade or whatever, not mentioning Alabama has done 90% of the work for the conference. Clemson continues their dominance next year with TL gaining some experience, they get back to the title game going undefeated next year. Bama has Tua back and does the same. We have this exact same conversation again next year.

Did he make the schedule to give kids confidence in themselves or did he make the schedule so his record would look awesome. You can pick one or the other, it doesn't have to be both. One would have to do with the kids, the other would not. Either way, nice having the conversation. I have engaged in "Hardin talk" today, than people should over a lifetime. Agreed. I am not crying about anything. All I pointed out was coaches care about their record. It is what gets them the next job. He didn't make this schedule for the kids. He made it for himself. IMO

Buna has 3 red lights, a dollar store, and Faustos Fried chicken. LOL The papermill is not in Buna, but they do have a rundown sawmill that hasn't been in business in a good while.

He is insulting his own kids with that schedule. You think it's love.. It is an insult. Meanwhile, you and other Hardin parents think he is doing this wonderful job because his is 19-3 and "got them boys playing hard". Of course they are going to look "improved". Just my thoughts, nothing personal. I have no dog in the fight.
