Good game Silsbee, Tyler is a beast. I applaud Silsbee for coming back and taking the lead, a few on Smoaky thought it was over after Silsbee gained the momentum. Tough loss, but you have to be proud of the Tigers for coming back and scoring 14 unanswered points in the 3rd quarter to make it a 1 score game.

Ingram can be very dangerous, as we have seen this year. Silsbee knocked him out of the game early last year, so we did not get to see what he could have done. It will be fun to see what this year's game brings. Silsbee92, this is my 2nd post on this thread but thanks for the invite on Smoaky. Go Dawgs!

It seems like they do not give up too many points per game, plus they are undefeated. We shall see what next week brings, it is time for me to drink beer and celebrate the victory tonight. It's too late for me to think about the next game.

I would never bet against Surratt and company once the playoffs begin.  I think Carthage takes this one 55-34.

It will be great football weather, but the layers will probably have to come off once the game gets interesting.

1 day and a few hours to game time, it will be hard to focus tomorrow at work. It will be a good chilly night for some Tiger soup. As long as we minimize mistakes and play our game defensively, we will be OK. I have enjoyed reading and responding to comments on SETX, even though football was not always the conversation. Like I have said before, I will be on here to congratulate your team either way. The Silsbee fans have not personally attacked me, and I have respect for the manner in which you have conducted yourself.....who knows, maybe you just ignored all my posts. Lol Either way it turns out tomorrow, either team has a tremendous amount to be proud of. There are too many teams that would like to be playing playoff football still, we both knocked off 2 teams that have made runs to the championship game that would like a chance at making it back to the big game. I came on SETX to support Carthage and have fun with Silsbee fans since there is not much Silsbee support on Smoaky. I will never take offense to the comments that are put on a message board, it might be a different story if someone were to call me an arrogant Carthage fan face to face. It is easy to say someone is an idiot by reading their post but you will never know until you meet that person and have a chance to get to know that individual. I would say the same thing to your face as what I what I put on here. My beliefs and opinions, as well as other people beliefs and opinions, are set in stone and cannot be changed. The team that you support feeds off your support during the game, what gets put on here gets filed as trash talk Friday at 7:30. I wish Silsbee players and fans safe travels, see you at Tyler Rose stadium. 2 more days and we get to see who gets the biggest helping of crow. Go Dawgs!

Actually, my comment was Not intended for you, but somehow it appears that I was; please pardon me for the misunderstanding my comment caused! 
My post was in response to the ever angry Badsanta's rant about the good, working class citizens of Carthage, whom he Clearly is jealous of for making &30,000 seem like a Million dollars, or whatever point he was trying to make...
With respect to my "verbiage", I simply was trying to demonstrate that communication between people is much more enjoyable when carried out in a civilized fashion instead of rude gutter talk, which by the way, I am ALSO quite fluent in! ( I have been banned from Smoakey.com Twice because of it, as many over there can attest to!) I simply was trying to be polite seeing that it one of my first posts on This forum! ( One Does only Get ONE first impression, after all. )

I am confused with the conversations on here: practice, indoor facilities, giving jobs to recruit players, basketball, and baseball. What will we talk about next, soccer perhaps? We are 3 days away from a big football game and there is not very many valid points that prove why you think that Silsbee wins. You are too caught up on thinking that Carthage just feels like they are better and look down on Silsbee. U-Know was right when he stated "On Friday night, when you look across the field, you will see, stands full of your average hard working middle class families. People who work hard day in and day out to provide for their families." I am proud to be from Carthage and be a part of a good football run the last 6 years or so, Carthage people have not always had good teams to watch but have always been supportive. We all know that it's more fun to follow a winning team and tend to complain when things are not going our way. As I have said before, this will be a game played by 2 teams that have earned the right to be here  and have a chance of winning this game. I have no doubt that Silsbee will have some success and play hard, they are a very fast and aggressive team. I just don't get you.  You seem to want to be defensive on everything.  Get real!  Two teams have played well enough to get to the quarter finals on Texas High School football.  Not everyone you have talked with has run Silsbee down, yet you don't want them to get out of the so called gutter that you think we, the Carthage fans, have put them in.  I'm looking forward to a good game.  I hope Carthage wins big, because I'm to old to take the stress of a close game.  However, I am going in prepared to see two quality teams play football.  There are no bad teams at this stage of the playoffs.  Should the Dawgs loose, I plan on following you on the net to see how well you do.  If I am able to get to Houston, I will pull for the 4a div 1 team from this region.  Just because I have said that I believe that Carthage will win, if even by 1 point, doesn't belittle your Tigers.  So please, quit baiting people to run your kids down.......cause I'm not!

I have no issue at all with a Carthage fan claiming they will win Friday night. I am ok with Carthage fan stating they will win by 7-10 points. It's the ones stating Carthage will blow out Silsbee and the Tigers don't belong on the same field as the Bulldogs that I take issue with.
Like I have said before, have no problem with confidence in your team. I love it. Just don't like it when that confidence is over the top which comes off as very arrogant.
No denying the history of Carthage football. Much much better than Silsbee and that has been proven on the field the last two times these teams have met. I just think it's not that relevant in this particular game.
This is the best Silsbee offense I have ever seen (been watching Silsbee football since 1971). I like the Tigers chances in winning this game.
Carthage is the favorite, just not the overwhelming favorite that some are stating.
