The penalties in all of these preseason games have been terrible so far. The Saints had 22 penalties yesterday Hopefully it isn't like this all year. It's tough to watch.

From what is being written the competition was very close. The 1st game being on the road against a Top 10 team probably made it a little easier to start the more experienced guy Game 1. We will have to see how it plays out if Hill struggles. I would think Allen will get some snaps against Lamar, Rice, and SMU. Also Kenny Hill won a Texas 5a State title playing against some of the top teams in the country. Allen didn't get that level of competition in Az.

Nederland must win against Missouri tomorrow to have a chance. They will need some help though. The best case would be for Virginia and Pennsylvania to win out making them finish 4-0 & 3-1. Nederland will advance with a win in that situation at 2-2. They have the head to head over Wisconsin so that helps if they both finish 2-2. Win tomorrow and they will have head to head over Missouri. In a 3 way tie it goes to runs allowed so anything can happen. Nederland has allowed 15 runs in 3 games so a shutout against Missouri would really help.

They are currently playing civil rights shows on the LHN. Maybe they will have live updates from Ferguson next? I would rather watch news stations for that and watch my sports on sports channels. I've heard cooking with Augie is great TV though. If Direct Tv ever picks up LHN, I may have to watch that one.

I would really hope Stoops has a better record with the 95th ranked schedule in the country. That should be easy enough since they don't play anyone. Stoops and OU have dominated the Big 12 since he has been there and there is no arguing that. It's just funny all of the politicking he is doing now. On the SEC network last night they showed him getting beat for the National Title by LSU in 2004. The game is cut to fit into a time slot, but they still made time to show Stoop's interview before the game where he said that the Pac 10 and Big 10 shouldn't be allowed to play for a title since they didn't have a conference championship game when everyone else did. I wonder if he still feels that way?

That 3-0 includes a win over a Fran coached Bama team in 2002 and Mike Shula's 2003 team that finished the year 4-9.

Big Game Bob should quit running his mouth. The SEC has 8 teams in the top 25. The Big 12 has 3. A&M plays 3 top ten teams. A&M plays 6 top 25 teams. OU plays 1 top ten team. OU plays 2 top 25 teams.

They get Florida State 1st game so we will see how good they are right out of the gate.

Okie Lt has won at least 9 games and finished ranked 5 out of the last 6 years. They only won 8 in 2012. Don't sleep on them as I don't see anyway they finish 7th in that conference.
