Good test for both teams. Can Vidor defend the PNG passing attack? Will the Indians bottle up Quirante? Remains to be seen
Predictions:
1) This thread will be up to 20+ pages by Friday 
2) The extreme fans will make outlandish claims about their respective teams, throw out whatever statistics that support their view. If their team wins, they'll demand recompense  
3) The calmer fan will be slow to make those claims, and will willingly eat crow if their team loses.
Look for a hard fought game between two teams whose players will be excited to play. Regardless of the outcome, both teams will be in position for a playoff run. PNG fan needs to chill with the historical stats on their records vs Vidor. Vidor fan needs to chill with the "this is OUR year" stuff.

Vidor feeds those little injuns some homemade humble pie and tells them to remember their place. This is Vidors district now.

I know PNG has cracked down. Friends of mine live in Beaumont but the Grandmother is the care giver before and after school. They had to go thru all kinds of stuff.

Its easy to have this argument when your the school with 2100 problem then if your the school with 1000. At the end the day when you have 1000 more kids that means 1000 more options. You will never hear anybody say UIL has got this right

Great move by pulling haines and putting B. Jones in , heard fowler is looking pretty good at practice. Just have a good feeling about this game.

Thank goodness.  Not to sound like Mack, but I was beginning to wonder if Haines had some "pictures" of Charlie.  I'm sure he is a nice kid and he has made some picks of balls thrown right to him but he has no business starting or even getting significant game reps.

I only have two as well, but I have been complimented on how big they are. 

I agree. That will change things for sure. PNG has a good Defensive Line and Linebacker Play. Offensively we can put up points. I just think Vidor plays to our strengths. But you never know. I know on paper Nerdland looks down, but LN OWNS BF. Maybe this is the year it changes... But until I see it, I wont believe it. Central Played PAM decent, so I think if they get it together, you never know.... But I just cant see anyone else sneaking in the picture. Chumperton is not a real good team, as well as Livingston, and the others. But it should be interesting. PAM is a notch above everyone this year. If Nederland gets the QB back and does not have to forfeit the game, I think they have a chance.

This is like Chumperton revisited... A known loser wins a few games and people come out of the woodworks? I guess you want everyone to Vote for Hillary as well? 

I love my NDN's but until Vidor I will not be confident on where we will end up. How is Vidor against the run? Do they blitz well? That could give us trouble. Just too hard to gauge right now. We only have had one good test and that was WOS in a scrimmage and Jack Dallas ate us up with outside passes. We fared real well against their run and in the middle. We were able to run the ball against that tough D and scored a couple of times. But it was a scrimmage, so....

Honestly I believe the Titans will win but how much depends on several situations.
1. Laday outcome, I know he was like 4th string at PAM, but he is the best option for Nederland and they are a different team with him (better team)
2.. Simmons injury. If he is health then they become more balanced keep the defense honest, takes some attention off of Perkins and Fischer
3. the last thing would be weather, a wet ball game might favor the dogs over the pass happy titans.

he did well. 4 pass tds and 1 rush td. I came away impressed but I know Livingston does not have the D to challenge him. Good game tho and McZeal found his hands

it was pretty good catch. That's all the credit I'm willing to give until it becomes more consistent. We shouldn't be surprised when he does catch it ya know. I was screaming "YOU BETTER NOT DROP IT!" And yeah Livingston was much better passing and trying to spread. Their rb #34 was big and slow. It was laughable. That Qb and Wr combo with a little more help around could do damage. Our secondary will dictate how we fare in district

With all kidding aside, I have much respect for the Nederland football program and there head coach. Any team will tell you playing in bulldog stadium is tough. I've watched many of games played by these two teams, and  some have been very lopsided in Nederland favor and here recently have been nail bitters. Tonight I choose to listen to it on the radio, and I'm telling you I can't imagine what it was like at the stadium. It was an emotional game just listening to it. Both teams gave all they had and left it on the field. Nederland will bounce back, they always have. My pirates just need to take one at a time and it doesn't get any easier. This is TEXAS high school football anything can happen on Friday nights.  

Congratulations Indians. I think the last three weeks of the season are gonna be fun!
