WOS will take the frustrating out on Newton. Don't be surprised if JD3 & The PYP Crew hang 60 on the Eagles. 

He's just a sophomore and didn't start until mid way thru the 2nd Game

If had to have a corner go solo coverage and battle it out with the best WR It'll be #15 for Wos. This kid got talent.

QB will not Scramble &find WR's all night because I asure u he is only faster than one of WOS DL men. .

This game will be closer than some think IMO. Ive personally been on the losing side to Silsbee and know how they play WOS even when season records are lop sided. The Tigers always bring it. WOS looks to be very, very good this year but it is HS football. I do believe the Stangs win but by 35 points? Dont think so. I see more of a 19-13 or 27-20ish Win for WOS.

I can tell you one thing , when Dillon sterling cole left the Mustangs , everyone said they wouldn't make it far. Ended up at state. When trey Baldwin left them this year, everyone thought they'd just be flat out basic. These young kids have proved pretty much every one wrong . There is not many people that can say they knew the Mustangs we're going to be this good. This may be one of the best teams they've had in the past few years. Not only will they stop you, but they will put up tons of points on you.

When you got beat down like Jasper did. Its easy to find a excuse to make it sound a little better. 

I predict the tiny DB's from WOS will have about 3ints

Wow really...that same 4x1 team lost to that WOS team in area. I will take you up on that bet. Just let me know. PNG WR's were way bigger than your Silsbee and our little DB'S did just fine. WOS rolls by 35

Some random thoughts about the scrimmage...
WO-S offense is definitely ahead of their defense, which is not the norm. The defense reminded me of where we were two years ago...young and enduring growing pains, especially in the secondary. Although, they did pick off three passes. The linebackers need more time and practice to develop their reads. This is ALWAYS priority in a Cornel Thompson defense and I'm confident they will "arrive" at where this needs to be as the season progresses.  
Nederland's #22 is the best player on their offense. Find ways to use that kid more. The Ned offense showed good balance with rushing and passing. They did nice work running both inside and outside at times. The QB looks solid. I like the look of their offensive sets. They've developed a nice package of keeping the defense guessing as to whether their sets will be a pass or run. Neumann is an excellent offensive mind. Always has been.
Jack Dallas is very good. He is makes quick decisions, does not hold onto the ball, and is really accurate with mid and long range throws. 'Picking up where he left off last year. The rushing part of the O needs work, but #27 looked the best out of the rotation of backs.
Nederland's greatest strength is the versatility of their offense. Their biggest weakness is the the secondary. It seems they were scrambling, holding, and hitting early at least half of the time on pass plays.
WO-S finds is biggest upside in the passing game - namely Jack Dallas' throwing ability and the numerous receivers who can catch and run. Their greatest weakness is the kicking game.
The WO-S fans enjoy scrimmaging Nederland just as I know many of you Ned fans have said the same about us. It's always a good test for both. Best wishes to the Bulldogs this year.
 
 

The secondary is just fine

#4 may have had one slip up, but he did his damage despite it!  He is going to be dangerous this year!

Can't wait until the 28 of August. A STAR will be born, just don't know which kid it will be! Every year there is a kid that rises to the top! This Team is full of STARS & PLAY MAKERS, just gotta make a name for themselves! From what I seen Friday, once this team starts dominating in the trenches they will be a site to see! 1st & more most like Tee said it starts with the O-Line. They done a great job protecting JD3 Friday! They didn't give up a sack & JD3 only had to scramble out the pocket once. An when he did the pass was drop in the inzone by you know who #4 (had to be my kid) Once the O-Line starts sticking to there blocks a little longer in the run game, WOS will be well balance. Not too worried about the ÇHAINGANG they're gonna be THE CHAINGANG like always, flying around getting to the football.  All in all, its gonna be a exciting season in MUSTANGS COUNTRY! 

I havent picked my team yet... But I do know I will be picking WOS Defense............. Come on BG!!!!

#4 and #27 was killing it tonight. #4 is a very nice route runner and will be hard to hold. Seems like Nederland had to Pass interference him everytime ... Lol
