You are comparing a female basketball player to a football QB. Those are two completely different animals when it comes to college recruiting.

Alexis is one of the best players we've seen come through this area in ages, and one of the best players in the nation. the QB in question is not. If you put Hunter Johnson, or Dylan Mccaffery at Legacy, they'd get looks like Alexis. This kid is not those guys. If he plans to get the "looks" he is not getting at Legacy, entering the public school system is the way to make that happen. As someone above stated, if he joins this Silsbee team and is a great player there, he will get the looks that he desires.

Jones is special talent and I bet the QBs your speaking about has a great supporting group of kids around them, jones had a few with a below average line to say the least! Anyway it'll be interesting if he leaves Legacy!

  2. Congrats To all the you men that received 1st team super gold setx. You had two kids from Legacy that made the ballot, but of course it's a long shot for them to make any teams.. Jones passed for 2800 33tds and another 800 plus rushing for 12tds and a fumble recovery for another TD....pretty good number and I will say this, if he had half the line that Silsbee has he probably would have passed for 4000 yards, the kid is that talented as a QB and give him those  receivers it would've been scary!!!!  Very strong arm and very good accuracy !( also had one team  cancel their game so he had less games played)

  3. I knew this was gonna come up about is the Jones kid gonna leave Legacy and come back home to Silsbee! I actually spoke with his dad today and was told if it was up to Tre' he wouldn't have left Silsbee in the first place and who's to say the Silsbee coaches want him to play for them....and they normally talk as a family and let him make those decisions, but it has to be right! Whatever that means

  4. Goodness, that's a bit of a stretch going back to Neumann's first year at Nederland, but thanks for the nostalgia.

Just bringing back some old memories and some good football that's all....had no idea it was his first year..... I was a player on that Silsbee team and just remembering playing against Spell....and I know if the central kids stay discipline with all that speed and talent it will be a good game! Sorry

  5. First game on grass for the Jags all year.  Will someone turn the sprinklers on hours prior to the game?  Lol

Central has similar talent as the1994 Silsbee team that beat The dogs in a very close game, but when Silsbee played them again in the playoffs it was a blow out.....just saying the dogs had better coaching then but talent and speed came out on top in both games.... Central 28 Ned 21

  6. Whaley may be the highest rated but Calvin Tyler is probably the best running back in that district. 100 more rushing yards on less carries and a higher ypc average.

Didn't Central also have the best defense in the district last year before King dropped 55 on them in three quarters? Unless they draw Humble in the first round Central will get house-ruled out of the playoffs again, if they get in.

wish Calvin Tyler (RB), Willie Jones(QB), Reggie Bosman, Deshon, and Kandon Robertson would have stayed together those kids together would have probably brought a championship to Beaumont!
