You look at the teams that go to the playoffs and advance, they all play defense . Back in the good ol days with Ethredge , it all started with defense.

Newton probably has a good streak going. Last time I remember losing was when E Ch. was in our dist. And Coach Barbary passed away and Newton did not practice that week. As for as WO-S and Newton, we do not have 5 or 6 other high schools feeding our football program.

My bad. It was Waskoms QB not Daingerfield. Newton is probably the only team to ever score a TD, get it called back for a penalty and score again. Wow, we may have made sloppy history.

Waskom was undefeated in dist. El. Fields beat them last week putting Waskom in second place . Someone on setxsports site said Daingerfield lost their QB. He was a big part of their team.

T12 plays S11. Looks like Hemphill might be playing Waskom.

That explained why Hooks (which was a div 1 team last year) beat Daingerfield last week.

Newton will play the winner between Harleton and Queen City. Both teams are from E/NE Texas.

Newton is young. 11 sophomore 7 juniors on the varsity. I think they are playing pretty good football. eagleforever, why would you get on this site and downgrade these young kids? whatever your hang up is, get over it....

EC having another good year. When you a winning. Program like EC , Newton and WO-S year after year, a lot of people develop a hate for you. This comes with the territory. Hope EC takes all the way to state.

PN-G must to have had the same referees three years in a row. Probably have them again next year. Takum more scalps next year. Heapum big win over crying dogs.
