Wow, Deweyville is not in the same class with Buna. Reality finally hits Deweyville after starting 4-0 against a weak schedule, Vinton, Evadale, High Island and Burkeville. If you want to soar with Eagles(Cougars in this case) you have to start playing quality teams in preseason, even if you lose.

As Earl Pitts would say, " WAKE UP AMERICA".

Newton led 27-0 at half, started their entire second team offense and defence the second half. After two fumbles and an onside kick, and 22 points Newton put their first team back in.

Gosh, could this be an indication that Kirbyville might not win state this year. It wasn't  the bad pep talk at halftime that did Kville in, it was that team with the WO-S wrote on their helment. I saw the game, set on the WO-S side and was really empressed with WO-S team and the coaching. I was also empressed with the WO-S fans. Good luck WO-S, I hope you go all the way to state.

What happen? Carthage had a pass attack that Newton could not stop. Carthage's QB was on the money with his passes. Newton could not put pressure on him.

  Carthage just plain beat us.

I keep telling you all that Buna is for real. Buna wins this one by 35 points.

Four quality 2A teams in this area that will go a long ways in the playofff.

Jasper is no match for Kirbyville. Kirbyville will win big, and I mean big.  Kirbyville by 20.

He will have to carry the mail tonight against Silsbee, his co heart in the backfield will be out tonight. He will only kick off and punt. Means we lose a lot of speed.

Wake up people. Buna is the real thing. A program that has been building the last few years and has earned respect. We scrimmaged them and they are a good solid football team. This one will be a cake walk for Buna.

Can't wait until they play E.Chambers. Two good teams going at it. Should be a good one.

We scrimmaged Kirbyville and Played Jasper. This one won't even be close. Kirbyville by 3 TD'S.

Jasper is a team that is young and will improve as the year go on.  The Jasper team and fans showed good sportmanship. Good luck Jasper on the rest of the season.
