Yes. Wall and Gunter are much better than East Bernard. Either team will play Newton a better game than any other opponent has in the playoffs. However, I just don't see either of those teams beating this Newton squad. Newton is pretty elite for 3AD2 football this season. They stay consistent and keep getting better each week. One more, one more!

Woodville will have to see Porter another two years. Ouch. He will be even better the next two season and Newton will develop and find more help to go along with him I’d imagine.

WOS has lost to ranked PNG in overtime, Newton by 4, and #2 Silsbee by 14. I mean, that’s not completely horrible. Any other 4A team and down in this area would most likely have these 3 same losses if it were their schedule.

Is Newton’s offense more explosive than Silsbee and PNG’s? Some will say no.

WOS has a 9th grader at RB also. Pretty impressive when you can contribute to these two powerhouses as a Freshman. This is not done very often at all.

How is the QB? I saw him exit after his 50th carry of the game last week. I never even heard what the injury was? Hope he’s okay. He’s got an extra step/swagger to him.
