  1. A tale of two halves…..Guzman (#5) did not play the second half and I think that hurt us.  Not that Farmer didn’t play well, but Guzman adds a spark and was making plays for the defense in the first half.  I’m told he had the flu.  Guess this was a reoccurrence since he was at the volleyball playoff game last weekend since having the flu last week.  IDK, it seems our best players could never consistently stay on the field throughout the season.  Our best players have to be tough and set the tone and the example for the rest of the team.  Other than Gaskamp this didn’t happen all season.  This was supposed to be our year, but without our best players the consistency evaded us all season.  It’s disappointing….toughness and accountability has to be built during the offseason.  We look to have a long way to go in the toughness category…..my opinion.

  2. O-Line play (specifically run blocking) was non-existent and we gave up on the run too quickly.  The big uglies better get it together.  They seemed like all they wanted to do was sit back shuffle their feet and pass block.  The O-line has to get more aggressive and Fuentes needs to take the opportunity to run the ball when the opportunity presents itself (he is capable…been my opinion all season). The passing stats look great though!

Not I. 😁 Some folks may not like the scenario and that's cool, but if things go according to plan on Friday night I'm going to love it!

And btw: I trust Stepp, he's keyed in on those type of things as far as playoff scenarios. As well as Ashly Elam.

Seems like AAW had it right the first time as far as playoff order, just the point cap was off.

Point cap makes all the difference here.  Unless Stepp and Elam sat in the District Coaches meeting prior to the season, or got hold of the meeting minutes, they don’t know for sure either.  We’ll see…..

It's my understanding that this district uses the tiebreaker policy how I stated it.

Some districts use the point system throughout the 3 way tie. Some use it to break 3 way and then go head to head.

    I will double check.

I don’t know of any District that would not use the 3 way tie throughout….why should LaPorte’s win over BH have any less weight than PAM’s win over LaPorte?

  5. Notice around 3:28 on the video.  The Dayton's runners foot is between and behind the BH runners legs (thighs) nearly touching the BH runner's butt.  Those of you from Dayton are probably not going to admit to seeing this, but those that are not biased will be able to see it. I will admit that Dayton was one of the three best teams in this race, but in what order no one will ever know.
