Talked to coaches, it is NOT FINALIZED YET. Still going through the process of getting the game approved to be moved to Thursday, will let you know when it is finalized.

One of our Indian player took a hit in the Central game and continued to play later in the game he started feeling bad. His parents took him to the emergency room. He had to have emergency surgery to remove a ruptured spleen. He is out of ICU in a regular room now. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers this same injury took the life of a player in the northeast a few weeks ago.

Since I have not seen either team this year, I'm not in a position to judge either based on the "eye test". Based on what I have gleaned from the discussions regarding these two teams during the year, this is my take on the game:
With the exception of two games the teams have played the same schedule. I'm not sure how big of a difference there is in playing Hamshire-Fannett and Orangefield, but Bridge City is definitely a better opponent than Tarkington. That would give Kirbyville a bit of an edge in schedule, but it was one game and early in the season. Probably not a major factor at this point (at least in my mind). Kirbyville's forte appears to be offense. Great offensive numbers this year but will probably find it more difficult to move the ball and score on the East Chambers defense than most any they have faced this year. East Chamber's forte has been defense. Great defensive numbers this year but will probably find it more difficult to stop Kirbyville's offense than most any they've faced this year. The Kirbyville defense and East Chambers offense don't get as much credit as the Kirbyville offense and East Chambers defense, but neither appears to be a glaring weakness. This game could come down to which teams strength is able to get the upper hand. Likewise, the strengths could even each other out and it could come down to the match-up between the Kville O and EC D. I don't really think either team will win dominating just on offense or defense. The team that has most complete performance on both sides of the ball is going to come out on top. Add the third side of the ball: This could easily be a game that is so evenly matched that it turns on special teams. I just don't know enough about the special teams units of the two teams to know how they might factor in. Of course I could have just been wasting my time typing this.....I have been wrong plenty of time in the past...LOL

Here the  reasoning behind my prediction, not just because I'm an EC fan.
    1. Coaching
    2. Discipline
    3. EC has the best player on the field
    4. Defense beats offense.

Kirbyville does score some extra points. But they will lose this one because EC is a better TEAM and is more disciplined.

Not really sure this thread is needed or will get much attention, but I figured why not start it anyway.  I see another 60+ points put up by our offense and another shutout by the defense. Then on to 'the' game.

Buna was a feisty opponent worthy of more praise!  They fought with heart and delivered substantial blows!   Never take the cougars for granted or else you will pay the price and lose.  A methodical approach was taken by East Chambers taking just enough to get a first down and march down the field for touch downs.  The defense has a record that speaks with some authority and carries  a big enough stick to get the job done!  8 games played with 49 total points on the year scored against them or 6.1 points allowed per game.

I will say East Chambers defense is as solid as I have seen. Kirbyvilles explosive offense versus East Chambers juggernaut defense will be the story on November 6th

Hamshire-Fannett and Kountze both scored 13 points on East Chambers.  That is the most any team has scored on the EC defense.   38 points is the total number of points scored against the EC defense this year.  The total number of points scored this season against Buna defense is 199.
I don't anticipate that Buna will score more than 13 points.  Of course anything is possible on Friday night.  East Chambers Offense has scored a total of 307 points on the season.  Buna's Offense has scored a total of 198 points for this season.
My prediction is Buna 7 and East Chambers 42.

I think he was just a fan of #3.   He didn't go to Ec.  His kids didn't go to Ec ......Slade and In the bone son played against each other during high school and on the same team or teams on the weekends. I'm sure he's not against Ec and wishes them the best.

Buna plays a perfect game, EC has several turnovers, Cougars edge out EC for the win. EC beats Kirbyville.  3 way tie for district championship again.

Too many of you are letting the one loss fool you. Kirbyville is not the team they were when BC beat them. Now I'm not saying EC has no chance cause Lord knows they're solid this year. But don't let a 6-1 vs. a 7-0 record sway you. This game will be high scoring and will last a full 48 mins. I don't see either team running away with it at any point. I'll be there and am looking forward to seeing it.
