Football 101

What's funny about our little ol' 2A school's is that a few of these kids play on select teams with kids that go to 4 & 5A schools and compete just as well if not better and could go pitch at a big school,  after all they pitch against kids as well ...that go to bigger school's and they pull them up a chair quite often! Lol
I just get so tired of these people from bigger school's downing our kids that go to smaller school's!! They may want to come watch a little 2A school. They may leave a little impressed!!!

I can't leave this one alone, I have you to know my son goes to a small school and yes plays everything and is very good at each sport. With that being said about playing no competition and how your child may look like a stud because hes only in a class of 30 is a bunch of crap. No we dont play 4 and 5A schools. But he does when he plays select baseball and in the Premier league he plays in mind you, he starts over your 4 and 5a players and competes against big Houston schools all the time and hes not the only one at our school like this either. WE choose our small school to stay out of the big school issues they have! I always smaller school less problems, and it shows by how many transfers we recieve every year from bigger schools. We know scouts rarely come to high school games , they are at showcase tournaments so thats where we get seen , by D1, D2 and D3 colleges. Also our school is on top of there school finances and where the money goes, you can bet on that! So your the idoit parent that don't know what the heck your talking about! Everyone always assumes smaller schools have no talented athletes , but they are so sadly mistaken!!!!

All I'm gonna say today is that I went to multiple schools. One was as small as 30. The largest had 300 students in the grade. I was top of the class at all of them. The best school was the school with 30 because the teachers were able to learn about and care about the students they had. It made classes easier because you knew the people not just the name.
As for competition, where I'm from the small school students are more competitive in everything. We take that lesson to life because of people like you. We know that we have to fight for everything and nothing is earned. We are the schools with that the entire town rally around on Friday nights. We are the ones who would die on the field for not just our teammates or our family. We would die on the field for the community. We hate placing 2nd in UIL Academic events. That's heart and fight, two skills that are needed to survive in real life.
In College I still strive to be the best to prove who I am. Nothing is for granted. I learned that from a small town, not a large school. Would it make financial sense to consolidate? Yes, but we are talking about what are best for students our future. You mention life skills, well small schools teach that more than anywhere else.
Finally consolidation would mean the end of 6-man. Who wants that?
