Lets just hope that, over the BYE week, we learned that option #1 shouldnt be an option at all. You learn a lot about a coaching staff coming off a BYE week, If nothing has changed, and the offense remains status quo, Boyds, thrown it all in, and steering the Titanic...

Ive got to be realistic here, We gave up almost 30 to LCM, and barely scraped by with a W, Our offense has not been in a groove or found consistency all year. Central will be returning a cpl difference makers, and quite frankly GCM doesnt have enough difference makers to win this game.  i wholeheartedly want the pats to win, and Ill be on the sideline cheerin my butt off, but when it comes down to it, it aint the Xs and Os, its the larrys and Joes, and centrals larrys and Joes are better than ours.

They are more talented than they were last season from top to bottom, a little deeper but don't have the experience. They have a shot, but they really need to take care of business against La Porte.
If they do that and take care of PAM like I feel they should, They just need to steal one from either Deer Park at home or WB on the road.

Not sure about better, but Corbet seems to be growing at the QB position and those WRs are quick. OL plays well as a group and the tackle that broke his foot just before the season started should be back soon.
They need to find 4 more wins:
West Brook, PAM and La Porte are "doable" but by no means a lock.  (LP beat this same Clear Brook team by 40.)
So you look at Deer Park or Channelview for the 4th win. Tall tasks, but they could run with both of them.
It's going to be tough, but not impossible.

Sterling's offensive line really took over at the end of the game. Their size, despite some injuries, really wore down the Clear Brook D-line. Why they went for it on 4th-and-1 backed up to seal the game.

Sort of. Brook fumbled at the 2 with 1:37 to play. RSS gets a 1st down on 4th and 1 and runs out the clock.
Brook had 3 TDs called back due to penalties.
Corbet rook some big hits early, but hung in and played great. He really makes that team go. Sterling was just too quick at the skill posotions. Brook could not run with their WRs.

Listened to the game on the radio, I'm just amazed/confused/dumbfounded (whatever you want to call it) on how many times we turn the ball over/fumble each game. No I don't have exact numbers or stats for the previous games/seasons but since we have gone to this run oriented offense it seems that we have never gotten over the fumble bug. We have been in this system for five years and it hasn't gotten any better, like the old saying goes, "you're either coaching that way or allowing it to happen." Hopefully they can turn the corner and get some district wins, its a tough district and it going to be hard to win when you put the ball on the ground.

nothing at all was left out, the 20 yr history is all inclusive. Using your logic, i should have listed all the yrs where the teams were "WINLESS"  in district and or pre-season.  Which in turn, would have been met with more despite and ire from both alumni bases.  The fact, that you had to say, that i "conveniently left out" that 3 of the 6 over the last 20 yrs have come under this regime, should be welcomed by the Raider faithful, because for those 17 yrs you "conveniently" dont want to discuss, Lumbertons 4 winning seasons trump vidors 3.  I appreciate your loyalty to the Pirates and that you stand up for your boys. However, your misguided comment about Lee, is, in the words of Skip Bayless, Assa-9 Assa-10 Assa-11, Ell Roberson took them 3 rds deep in 2000 i believe, and then olins step-son Drew tate took them deep in the mid 2000s, My brother was the secondary/LBs coach during both of those runs. And if i remember correctly, Vidor was in that dist for quite awhile playing REL and RSS, getting their hats handed to them on a weekly basis.  Youre like the other guy i replied to earlier(weird how similar your views are, and you pull for the same team) they always told us not to drink the water in vidor, guess they should have warned yall not to drink the kool aid. Your football program for years has been one hell of a gritty, never say die group of kids, but all the best intentions and fight till the last whistle, dont earn Ws on your record. Perhaps they learned more valuable lessons than wins and losses, but for this arguments sake, wins and losses are what we have delved into, and Vidor and Lumberton, do lead all of 22-5A in one category, and that would be # of losses over the past 20 seasons. Oh, Vidor definitely gets my vote for best halftime "experience" i have ever been apart of, GCM played in vidor for their HC game last year, and the fireworks and fire lit candles on every yard line, along with all of the students who worked so hard to put together such an awesome display of school spirit and town pride, should be commended for their efforts, it was amazing!! GOOD LUCK 22-5A IT SHOULD BE A GOOD ONE
