Just like WOS Newton always schedules a strong predistrict so kudos, much much respect..It helps you later on. You will have your hands full next week though. Not even being a homer.

zzzzzzzzzzzz
-
Tatum needs to worry about Gladewater and Gilmer and Celina before they even start to worry about SE TX.
-
Yep... we're definitely gonna lose it again this year. That's what they said in 2000 when we weren't even ranked anywhere until week 7 and then made the state finals but yeah lost that year too. *whispers staying under radar*
-
The same team #1 4A-DII Gilmer team barely beat 41-35?
Should be interesting. Have fun with that. See you in October.
-
Only game this week where winning team was held to less than 88 points.... oh wait I meant 28. Dayton and La Porte don't count. And.... joking. I AM a Goblin.
-
FYI
LaMarque 56
Lamar Consolidated 28
FINAL
... not the defense they had in the past. But they are improving.
And to this day only two programs have beaten WOS more than once and have a winning record I believe although I'd have to go look up Coldspring and Giddings.
LaMarque 3-1, C.E. King 3-1
Too bad not a single team in our current district has a win against us ever
-
Jesus does no one have a Defense anymore? Other than you know who?
-
might not see anybody that can hold yall to that the rest of the season in yall classification.
Yeah La Grange is it possibly... Celina and Gilmer have no defense and they have to fight it out amongst themselves first.
But hey we just held a top 10 5A team 40 students away from being 6A to a 3 point game and were one play away from winning. 2000 vs 600 enrollment pretty much. Can only learn from it. Better than what LaMarque has coming up with HISD. Although would still like to see LaMarque again.
And 10th grader Jack did pretty damn well against a big 5A Defensive line coming at him all night. Both teams had tons of negative yard plays.
-
Yeah... but that's to be expected playing a school with 2000 students when we have less than 600.

Halftime PNG vs WOS
PNG 27
WOS 13
FINAL WOS 33, PNG 27
WOS is looking really good... Coach T is the King of halftime adjustments
-
I don't see 44 points being scored against us like DCTF predicted. Mustangs are definitely holding their own.

1988 WOS 24 Newton 0
1989 WOS 47 Newton 9
1996 WOS 12 Newton 6
1997 WOS 30 Newton 0
1998 WOS 10 Newton 0 (3A State Champ by the way that year)
1999 WOS 18 Newton 0
Gonna need to score more than your 15 points combined in all prior games to beat WOS this year... sorry. Good luck.

Yikes! Does WOS have a special woodshed with HJ's name on it behind Hooks Stadium?
Sadly we're completely undefeated against every single current district opponent all-time. Bring it H-J! LaMarque is in the same boat but worse. They only have HISD teams to play. 9-4A District Champ looking like will play a very very possible 0-10 Houston Scarborough in Bi-District. They've lost 51 games in a row now but are guaranteed a playoff spot since it's a 4 team district. Could be the first 0-11 team ever.
-
I'd put LaGrange over LaMarque right now and Wharton is a force too after beating El Campo.
-
Yes. In '87. I know it is tough to remember the two since they were back to back  senility must be tough...
(Oh, and they lost in the state finals in '88 - like French halfway did against Permian.)and again in 2000... Miss the days with TJ, PNG, French playing Permian and Plano and not losing. Except PNG in 1977 and TJ in 1980.
-
Yep I'm an M.D. I know and can prescribe it... lol good luck. You are hilarious. Thing is is that I actually am. I wish H-J the best. I will always root for you unless you're playing WOS. Quarterfinals.... let's do it!
-
Simmer down now... WOS and HJ are both pretty. HJ 46 WOS 0... oh wait reverse that
-
lol are you 12? done..... kthxbai
-
No comment because this is ludicrous. I wish HJ a very successful season. Coach Thompson will make the team take a knee and not let it be 42-0 like last week. Like I've said multiple times.... bring it... prove it.... until then meh

Oh you guys are still funny. A school that now really actually has 6A enrollment, ranked in the Top 10 almost gets beat by a team a third their size. This isn't 7 on 7. They weren't playing anyone on both sides and had a ton of depth. They are the ones that need to be worried, not WOS.
