Did you mean “quiet?” I think that a lot of “BC is BACK” fans were surprised to see that the Cards had not actually been tested this year. I was glad to see that the boys faced adversity and persevered through it. We’ve still got a couple of tough district games before we begin our playoff run. But honestly, most of the chirping has been going both ways and they obviously don’t have a lot of fan support out in HJ… they were practically silent in the buildup, so there wasn’t a lot of crow to be served up. I expect another “quite” week this week as the Livingston Lyin’s will be coming to BC to get their whuppin’. BC fans will be back in full force for the 10/25 showdown with LiCk’eM.

The option? Yes. The ability? Dunno.

Well, the Hawks are a brave, brave team who also opted up an entire classification to compete against school much larger than they are. I have a lot of respect for the Hawks and had this game penciled in as our toughest one this week.

That’s hard to say because I’ve only watched BC, Lum, and Vidor. Vidor’s O Line was having PROBLEMS. It could have just been that we made them appear to be bad, but I don’t think so. We looked like the Chain Gang of old up front last Friday. I don’t know how many stops the cards made in the pirate backfield.

Hey! Just a question/suggest.... I can't find the team's records for the current year. For instance, I can see HJ's record (3-2, 1-1) but I can't find game scores. Who'd they beat, etc. I think they used to update each team's schedule with a box score in past years. Thoughts?

I think this one will be a more competitive game. We should still be picked to win, but I don't see us beating them by 4 TDs or anything crazy like that. On paper they're going to be our toughest opponent yet.

I don't think you can point at race or a particular city over this instance since the trend appears to be nationwide and at the college level, too. I personally think that the coaches should handle it immediately before something bad happens... and it will. Suspend the player(s) for a week. If in-house doesn't work, the UIL should put schools on notice that this type of behavior will result in a DQ/Forfeiture of the game. That would put an end to the nonsense.
