Ticket sales have been the same as far as I know since Noah got off the ark. Not much has changed. Season Ticket Holders get first pick, then students, then the general public. If you are on the bottom of the list then you may not get one. IF you think Vidor is bad, try LCM and Livingston.

I sure am glad that my daughter went early the first day of ticket sales. Vidor may not have to light anything during half time, they may have enough fans smoking mad to light up the area and provide all the fireworks they can stand.

One week until the game, anyone want to guess how many more topics will be started?

I believe Nederland started playing football officially in 1927. A couple of years later PN started playing and then a few more years and they became PNG and thus the start of MCM.

You are right about Stampley and Taylor, they are both good on run support and pass coverage. If Washington continues to work, he could be one of the top prospects in this area.

One of the other things you can't put a statistic on is that this team just works well together. When a mistake is made, no finger pointing, just renewed effort.

One of the Vidor fans ask the question in one of these threads what made our defense so much better than last years version that was very good. There are several changes that have made it better and I think this conversation on putting 8 in the box and Vidor being able to pass on that formation is just one example. With the addition of #10 at safety we not only get great pass defense, but this kid has great run support. He will come up and hit you in a heart beat. Many safeties today just want to take you down with an arm tackle, don't expect that kind of treatment from this guy. Just one change from last year, but a big one.

Every team we have played this year has had "speed on both sides of the ball" and we have won both weeks! Guess what, we have speed on both sides of the ball also. Kimler ran an int. back 70 yards and I didn't see any of that team speed catch him!

They probably never watched our band. No clue how big it is.

If they do that Friday night it could be really interesting.  It would add a whole new meaning to togetherness.

I didn't think you could do that by the UIL rules.

So taking out for the band and everyone else we will have around 2,800 seats left. I would suggest that everyone bring their antiperspirant,  it could be a little tight.

The first games I ever went to in the late '60s the home side was on the Detroit side of the stadium. Who ever said that the move was made because of expanding the seating is correct.

All I know is what they list in the paper, Koby had 10 tackles - two for loses and 3 sacks. De Shawn was listed as 5 sacks.

But even if you are correct, tell me how many other teams had 6 (as you say) sacks on week zero!

I'm confused, are the Dog's playing GCM or Dayton this week.

I could have missed something but i don't think i saw a defensive stunt all night. Just straight up rush the QB. How many other teams had 8 sackes by their DE's last week?

This group is real special, Kolby doesn't react much on the field but lets his play tell you how he feels. They were not a happy bunch after they gave up the TD. You could see it in there faces. I wonder how many yards they gave up after the TD, I don't think many.

Because of injuries our tight end was playing on the inside positions of the offense most of the night he wore #70 because of that move. He will play tight end and d-line most of the year.

I think Carson will run when he gets ready to run. I don't think anyone is stopping him, he would rather throw the ball than run.

No worries, we always did like being the underdog!

not unless something happens to force the issue, but that beast would rather play defense and hit people than play QB. After Carson is gone you could have 3 or 4 battling in the off season for the starting spot and all are very capable. I thought Carson threw the ball well and I think he will have a good year. Our offensive line is always a work in progress the first few weeks, but it always comes together.

Next year,the nod goes to then Sr. White.  He's got a nice arm.  He's tall and athletic.

After that, Smith, accurate passer, good hands with the ball, tall and strong as well.

Both White and Smith strong arms on the mound in baseball as well, don't see them getting "looked over" on the gridiron. 

I didn't see much in the interloper who transferred in, not quick at all, running the ball, not a strong passer, really doesn't perform to Ned's QB standard, kinda shaking my head???? (Guess we just have a crop of QBs if needed.)

Yea, it seems like the job NOT to have in Ned.

It's kinda of flukey, really strange, too that Ned has lost so many QBs to injuries.

I think it has been some of both. Wen most of the injuries occured it was when we ran the spread and that put the QB in the most danger. We are back to the one and two back formation. The more you hand-off the less your QB takes a lot of abuse. Most of our QB injuries were fluke injuries so it could have happened on any type of offense. One QB planted his leg to turn and his knee gave out,  another had his hand stepped on so they really didn't happen because of the type of offense.

I could be wrong but I understand that the varsity will play 4 x 12.
