I believe Jasper scored twice & Newton scored twice in controlled scrimmage. Jasper run eight min quarter scored once. Then Newton run eight minute quarter they scored once . Tied 3 apiece. 2nd string didn't score. Great scrimmage both teams looked good

A lot of it depends on how hard the young guys are working in the offseason. If they have gotten the work in this spring and summer we'll be in the mix come district. 
Lots of big holes to fill, though. I feel good about the skill positions on offense and our secondary will return almost as a group. I'm hoping the linebackers (mostly seniors) will come into their own this year. We really missed having dominating forces back there last year. 
I think we'll have lots of answers by week five. WOS, Newton, and Jasper should tell us who we are. We could be playing for the DC again as a best case scenario, but I don't see worst case having us miss the playoffs.

Nice post Grad and  very accurate.  New Sup, alot of people moving around.  Alot of uncertainty in the air at Kville.  Talent pool the next several years looks shallow.  I love my Cats but I do not blame Coach Neece.  From the outside i can see why the move seems odd but from my view (even if its QB coach) it might be a relief.  From what i know of Coach Neece his passion is coaching. im sure he misses the coaching part and stepped away from admin and headed back to what he loves.

If that's the main reason for his removal then that answers any questions about the board/sup, maybe they should hit the 2 a days this year so they want be so soft and sensitive for the next coach in line....Good luck to the barbays wherever they go, and good luck to the Jasper athletics on finding the right guy for the job.

Yea, Newton had some sour apples that wanted to try and coach from the stands, no fights though, but it just kills me how our own fans can disrespect not just the coach's but the teenagers on the field, I hate that we lost but I also understand the  work put in to make a 4th round appearance it's not easy for any division.
