They used the muslim burial thing as it fit the hoax.  When I heard he was supposedly shot in the face and within 4-5 hours dumped in the ocean, well, the first thing I thought was this is a con game.  Then they said they would not release any photos as to not "spike the ball", so to speak.  THEN -- he starts to brag on the campaign trail about killing bin laden.  It all falls into place as a ruse... PS -- And you are right about cover-ups.  the Kennedy assassination is one.  I'll throw out another one for you:  How about Watergate..  I'm learning things that this was NOT what the official reports said it was.  I've had questions about Watergate in the past.  And what I've learned recently, answers those questions to a tee!!
I was a longtime believer in Bin Laden being crushed in a cave by a daisy cutter bomb in Afghanistan. He was always an in-your-face type and I never saw him after that mountainous campaign. Supposedly, they got recordings from him, but for me that was iffy at best, as far as positively identifying the voice on the tapes. So, for me personally, he was dead. I do, however, believe now that he was killed in the recent raid. Too much involved to be staged....but then the Kennedy assassination comes to mind. My biggest problem is.....why did they have to follow Islamic protocol burying him within 24 hours? After all the man hours, countless lives, collaborations on strategies, and worldwide manhunts initiating the invasion of at least two countries,  we finally kill the SOB. Are we really that afraid of offending someone? Give me a break.

Two comments here.  Smitty, hurry up and write your book so that we all can be as enlightened as you.  And Dog - the burial at sea thing is another example of our esteemed Commander In Chief placating the Muslims.  Even Joe Biden is going to catch on to this guy sooner or later.  (Look forward to your cut downs WOS8 and WESTEND1.)
Thanks to you and smitty for the explanations. The burial is the only thing that seems perverse. You mentioned Biden and "catching on" in the same sentence. You are an optimist.

 3. You don't become #1 in Texas with luck.
 4. Anyone who would knock this kid because it's a highlight reel, doesn't know this is what future coaches look at. All college coaches get to see are players playing against state champs and must view the entire game.....duh. Good going Brock.
 5. Personally, past performances don't matter. What matters is how we handle this series. Teams that make it this far have good pitching and good hitters......not something we haven't already seen. Go Dogs!
 6.
If Ned plays like they did last series they will lose. They must improve.
I think they will improve. Always room for improvement on every team. Individuals should always push themselves and strive to do better.

[Hidden Content]

Striking out 16 in 7 innings is akin to Kerry Wood and Roger Clemens (twice) striking out 20 in the pros. In fact, percentage wise, it is better.
 8.

Give us the scouting reports on 17-4a BrenhamFan.    ;D
Montgomery is a very scrappy team, that took us to 9 innings in Brenham. Magnolia has good pitching and reminds me a lot of Nederland. Brenham is not very good... ;)
Brenham is not good in any sport. They eat too much ice cream. ;D Brenham Nederland Montgomery
 9.
Don't forget candy made double play to start the whole inning... Right over SS glove. Mistakes were made that inning and that is why Ned scored those three runs. Good game by Kyle leggett. Came out clutch and threw excellent all game. Hats off to the eagles for a good playoff run and like ForeverADog said outplayed them all three games.
One and done is a playoff run?.....maybe a good season. Dogs were outplayed the first game, hence the loss. Dogs came back to win two in a row.
 10.
Congrats Nederland!
Brenhamfan, you got me with your "clutch" post. I thought it was over then.
 11. WooooooooHoooooo!!!!!!!!!! Way to go Dogs!!!!!!!!
 12. Yep, the next best thing to say when you lose a game is, "Well, at least we got one hit!".......NOT!!!! I at least admitted defeat on the first game.......said we plain old got beat and no excuses. BH fans can't admit it even when they got mowed down with 16 Ks.  :o
 13.
Wow .... First it was absolutely in two games, with the smack talking parents & fans from Nederland going at each other about their own players and then, after BH won the first game, it was smack talking about your own coach's decisions in game 1, the turf at Lamar's field, etc. Now it's back to "fans" .... hmmmmm
.....now it's a BH fan talking about Nederland fans instead of 16 Ks. I don't talk smack. Good job Dogs.
 14. 16 Ks in 7 innings......WOW!!!!!!! Thanks 1696.
 15. Great win Dogs! What time is the game tomorrow?
 16. No excuses here. We got beat. Game wasn't close. Do I think BH pitchers are unhittable? Do I think they are better than any other pitching we have seen this year? No, but last night they were good enough to silence a tough lineup of hitters for Ned. I never give-up 'till it's over. Ned will bounce back. Go Dogs!!!
 17. Everything takes a back seat to your health. Hope you have a great checkup.
 18. Vidor showed a lot of character having to win two in a row. Good job.
 19.

PNG won a coin toss? Uh-oh, you will be hearing about that for years to come, especially if it had eliminated LCM.  ::)
I think they only do a coin toss for seedings.  If its for a final playoff spot, like Vidor /  Livingston you can play it out
You missed the true intent of my post. I bet PNG Proud can appreciate it.  ;)
 20. PNG won a coin toss? Uh-oh, you will be hearing about that for years to come, especially if it had eliminated LCM.  ::)
