Puma doesn't represent all of Nederland. PNG played a heckuva game and won...case closed. In closing, I will say this for my Bulldogs. I dare any team to play their 4th string QB and play as well as Ned did. The mistakes we made were almost expected. We also played some great defense except on the long pass plays. Congrats to PNG and let's move on.

FYI. Ned fans BOOED the PNG cheerleaders at midfield AND our school song FIRST! We merely reciprocated. In the future , get your story straight before you point fingers. Agreed PNGProud, Nederland booed the our cheerleaders.....Real classy but expected from Nederland. I love this, I hope this rivalry gets really heated after this year. Nederland is classless again, folks booing, PNG won... we may have the old rivalry back. Oh, and I love what we got coming up. What, a butt whipping from our JV and plenty of help coming back next year? Yea, I guess I do to. Varsity is a whole 'nother animal. You should know that.

Baddog and Penny. I agree with both, and no, I didn't boo either. It IS classless. I was merely pointing out WHY Ned was booed. Not condoning it. Poor sportsmanship is poor sportsmanship, regardless of who does it first. I don't go to PNG to boo. I go there to hopefully see us kick your butts in football. I think we did a good job of that early on, and except for a few big pass plays, we hung tough. If we can ever get past that turnover bug, I think we might win some game. Good game PNG.

....but expected from Nederland. What a crock of shat. Proud, I know our fans (students) booed and it sucked. Reciprocating is not the answer either. I think both sides need to rethink this rivalry crap. It doesn't bode well for either side. I was totally embarrassed.

I know this probably sounds strange coming from a female but why is there a lady announcer? I do not think I have ever heard a female announcer for a football team. Only females I hear in the press box is announcing the cheer squad or band. Does anyone else think a female announcer is a little weird? Most of the women on the TV networks do a great job covering football. I have yet to hear a female announcer though. I wouldn't have a problem with it, but she would have to be good, but then I can't stand a man doing a crummy job either.

We had the ball 1st and goal on the 2 1/2 yard line, and another series we had the ball 1st and goal at the 7. Both times we came away with 0 points trying to throw the ball and got intercepted both times. we're not going to beat anybody if we keep doing that. PNG wins this one by 2 TDs, if not more. I'm still a Dawg fan, but geeezzzzzz. Let's quit trying to fake people out and just take the ball and run 3 or 4 times.

My objective observation is that baddog is a spiteful "teenager like" adult who is still pissing and moaning over an assessment made about his team 3 weeks ago. That he will scout threads that don't even concern his team because the stinger of reality is painfully evident that the assessment was accurate after each time his team plays. I also know that he spends much time trying to come up with his quirky little posts to make himself seem like something other than what he REALLY is, but his underlying tone is embarassingly evident and he doesn't even realize it. I think he TRULY feels he is speaking for all of Bulldog fans in his posts, but in reality, most Bulldog fans wish he would just shut the heck up. He repeatedly accuses me of whining, homerism, and denouncing other teams, but has yet to provide any proof of his accusations (because they don't exist). How is that? I can come up with more if I need to, I just thought I would go easy to start and bring in the really hard stuff as back up... I think that is a pretty fair assessment. I speak for myself and no one else. You like to rally the troops with fewer than 5 posts. You were also the one who went to the Nederland board and copy/pasted a thread where they were discussing the loss to WOS. You called them whiners and posted it on your board. How childish is that? What a putz. I don't try and make myself appear to be any more than I am. That's just your way of lessening my argument. It wasn't your assessment, it was your condescending tone for the umpteenth time. AAW, there are plenty of homers around crying their eyes out. As for the tree, I'm hiking my leg on that one!

Tyler Smith, our QB who took over for Bellow will be back next week. I think he could have played last night, but he was still weak from illness. No sense in taking chances. The way Friendswood played, it wouldn't have made much difference. We need to play some defense or it's going to be a long season.
