    Not sure I understand the reason, and I can't speak for these young men but I would be willing to bet that they would gladly trade this recognition to be playing in NRG this weekend.  Congrats to WOS for being there and good luck to yall representing Region III and SETX.  It is nice, however, for Shepherd athletes to be recognized after a great season.

    Congratulations to 4 Shepherd Pirates for being recognized!  Jonathan Marshall 2nd team defensive lineman, Cedric Green, Tanar Castleman, and Devonte Skinner honorable mention.

    My reason for making that comment is apparently the coach knows the game.  Why not ask him directly rather than questioning his decision on a public forum

    After I had the chance to digest the whooping Buna handed Kountze...all I can say is great job Buna and hope Kountze re-boots! As far as running a score up...Buna ran the same game plan start to finish, could have made it 88 but did not! Joe Clark, Tyler Edwards, Perry Smith, J. Jackson...great game men!

    I don't think I said Crockett hadn't played anybody, but yes I did say that Shepherd would win. I was wrong. They did not win. To my defense, by far the worst game I saw them play...but let by gones be by gones.
     
     
    Now, Tarkington has played nobody, and common opponent ( not that it means anything, BUT)

    Tarkington scored 34 pts to Shepherds 61 scored
    Tarkington allowed 159 yds rushing to Shepherds 48
    ....I could go on but i digress 
     
    I still stand behind my statement that Shepherd wins this one AND I will say by at least 3 TD's
