Chester made the playoffs last year. They should be district champions next year, with a chance to win the 1st couple of rounds.

They lost last year in the 1st round by 12, in a back and forth game. Lost 2 kids, both not critical.

Don't care much for CCS. Don't care much for private schools at all. I think that recruiting is bull crap. If you want to recruit go to college.

UGK is not from Chester, has never been to Chester, and never will be in Chester. He probably cannot even tell you where it is located. The good people of Chester do not "represent" in this fashion. They have not made the playoffs on football since 1992.

All that I said was that I saw the Coach at Chester was mowing yesterday.  Didn't know that it was an opportunity to pile on a place for being less developed.  

 

Chester/Colmesneil/Woodville/Warren may not have the nicest restaurants or all of the amenities of a "big city" but we don't have corruption in our schools (BISD), we don't have teachers engaged in inappropriate acts with students (BH), we don't have teachers hitting students (PA), etc.

I saw the coach in Chester mowing yesterday.  He is responsible for all of his field maintenance, striping, etc.

When you are coaching? What do you coach? 10-12? Pop warner? I tell little kids how bad they suck and how they will never be able to make it as an Ozen Panther...

Well, might want to hurry and apply for the HC job. It appears that they will take anyone... #ImproperRelations. It is BISD so you might not even have to be certified.

How many warnings has BISD had in the last few years?

 

How many warnings do schools normally get?

So Atkins is guilty because he was accused of having an improper relationship with a female student? He was found not guilty, however you're still saying he's guilty? WOW!

 

I said they could not prove it.  I did not say that he did it.  I do not know if he did or did not.  It is his problem not mine.  

The reason that people think that BISD should be taken over by TEA is because BISD has "lack of institutional control."  It has nothing to do with whether or not they hired Plez, but it does not help their situation.  He might be a great coach, and he might not have done what they accused him of... The reason that he was reinstated was not because he didn't do it, but because they could not prove that he did, which is different.  BISD has issues, but so does every ISD.  The difference is that BISD has MAJOR issues.  Millions missing, hush money being paid out, teachers and community losing trust in the leadership, now there are allegations that teachers are teaching directly to tests...

 

The people that it hurts the most are the children.  We are cheating these kids out of an education.  We are cheating them out of the opportunity to learn critical thinking.  We are cheating them out of of the chance build a relationship with a coach.  The kind of relationship that kids remember for the rest of their lives.  When you change people every year, you will never have that opportunity.  I feel sorry for the kids at Ozen, Central, and Westbrook, I feel sorry for the tax payers of BISD, and I feel sorry for the employees of this school district.

Especially now that you have passed the baton...
