HF brings back all region player Jackson Seastrunk, but is losing 3 senior starters. I’m curious to see how Pirtle does next year after missing the entire season due to injury.
Seastrunk is a beast

Shoulders will start before Gaines.
Shoulders would have started on any other team he is a really good player. One of the district games I saw him score about 10 or 12 off the bench in just a couple of minutes.

I did really think that pressure would work against FF. But it kind of did. Makes me wonder if the Tigers had started a little earlier.
I noticed that trap started working late in the 3rd quarter and you wonder what took it so long. Oh well so proud of the boys! They could have laid down and quit being down 30 but they didn’t. Can’t wait for next year and good luck seniors in the future!

Wow Lancaster is good. That was a suffocating defense. And Faith Family beat them, so I am excited to see them.
I guess that’s an indication of how FF will do in 5A

Those championship games in 17 and 18 were outstanding. Offensive powerhouses going at each other.
But of all 6 of the San Antonio games the Bush, Adams, McCain era team played the one that stands out the most to me is still the 2017 semi against Argyle. It figured that the Tigers would be taken completely out of their own game and forced to play at Argyles tempo. Argyle's 5 playoff wins leading up to that game they scored 50, 55, 59, 47, and 53. By contrast the Tigers had scored 105, 98, 124, 93 and 94. Only three minutes or so into the first quarter it was apparent that Argyle and not Silsbee would be setting the tempo. Methodical doesn't even start to describe it. If there's an art to getting back on defense then the Eagles were the masters. There were were simply no open lanes to the basket. Yet somehow the Tigers rose to the occasion. That one point win, scoring only 46, coming within a razors edge of losing, was perhaps the moment most indicative of the character of that team.I’m still clinching from when the Argyle player took the shot at the buzzer to tie it

Silsbee played Randall in the TABC Classic this summer.
Silsbee beat Randall by 8 and that was with basically the whole team driving up from 7 on 7 state tournament and playing them that evening. Miller, Bottley, Elam, Johnson and others just played 2 days of 7 on 7.
I see Silsbee winning this one by 10
I agree I believe that Washington is better than this Randall team. With that being said they are still a very good team and we will need to play like we have been and we will advance! Tigers by 13

Stafford beat Iowa Colony 71-64
Here are your 4 teams at state:
Region I Randall
Region II Faith Family
Region III Silsbee
Region IV Stafford
Randall will be #1 seed, Stafford #2
Coin flip will determine which team those two will play in semis out of Silsbee and FF.
Oh nice so we can avoid FF until the championship

Any clue as to when the 4A semis will be?

Way to play Tigers!

The one to ask would be Wheatley’s coach. He’s seen both up close.
Silsbee gave Wheatley their worst loss of the year (22 points) and Washington beat them by 19 and 12. These teams are about as evenly matched as you can get. That’s why it’s a pickem

Give me Silsbee 79-74

Pulling for my hometown… but they have a tall task ahead… Hitchcock plays amazing defense… they keep you out of the paint… If Kountze is hitting their 3s (Which it’s been a little while since they had one of those good 3 shooting games)… then they got a shot.
Good luck getting open looks against that Hitchcock defense

Hitchcock 48
Kountze 34
