This is a weak Woodlands Team this year, 6A School with 5A talent. The Woodlands are big but slow, plays fundamental basketball nothing special about there offense. Silsbee press should cause major problems for The Woodlands.

Yates & Silsbee districts are weak, very weak. 

You are going to make them mad with that statement. When they win back2back State Titles and a National Championship then we can talk about being Great. 

WOS won' beat Silsbee I'm sure of that. Yates does look good but better than Silsbee right now?? Maybe. Remember Silsbee is built for February with all that talent. Don't expect 15-16 years old to always have complete focus in December like they will in Feb and March. Yates has beat Silsbee twice in the playoffs before and we all know we won last year new season new teams. My money would still be on those Tigers.

Yates does have problems with D1 elite guards it’s written in our history.  To Yates defense our transfer players were adjusting to our system.  Yates have played 5A Houston Madison,#18, 6A C.E. King, O.D. Wyatt (Forth Worth) and a few cancellations and Houston Christian. 
Yates and Silsbee style of play are similar, both live and die with the 3’s. I believe Yates has more athletic players and a deeper bench then Silsbee this year.  It appears that Silsbee also have problems with elite guards and low post players. If Silsbee isn’t hitting there 3’s, and scoring off of turn overs the outcome may not be a win (40 pts North Shore). 
District play for both teams will be a challenge to stay focus, but it should give the young players an opportunity to play.

With the guard upgrade and senior players, Yates has a good change on returning to Huntsville. Every team in Region 3 will be trying to take Silsbee’s Crown. It’s not easy Winning Back 2 Back Championships

The reigning UIL 4A Champs can silence everyone for now by making quick work of Central.  It's time for those starters that are not playing football to carry this team.  As reigning champs you have that Bulls Eye on your back and everyone will bring their A Game.  Silsbee Tigers you are the King of the Jungle and everyone is out to defeat the King regardless the size of your army/team.   
This is an golden opportunity for the underclassmen to get game time experience before the starters return.

Bayou City 713, I do remember during Yates National Championship Run and the years afterwards  they played against highly ranked teams without mentioning anything about enrollment or the number of D1 players they were competing against.

Yates plays and competes with schools that are much larger ..same situation and when they lose nobody brings up the enrollment....the same people on here coming up with that excuse was the same people saying that Silsbee would beat Atascocita..now when ya lose u want to play the enrollment excuse..smh 

Or maybe Sigler didn't want to play Yates?
Personally, I wouldn't want to play a Region III playoff opponent in non-district if I didn't have to.
