Bates appeared on the Cover of Sports Illustrated at the young age of 15 last year. Some people have considered Bates as the Best High School Recruit since King James, Durant and Kobe Bryant. Teams in 5A Region 3 should be concerned about Hightower

I received a phone call from a parent who’s son is on the basketball team at Hightower HS. The individual called to brag about Hightower receiving another transfer kid who is around 6’9” class of 2022. Hightower has Won The Recruitment Title for Houston this year. Getting my popcorn and soda ready to read the comments from SETX about Hightower recruits.

Speaking of Duncanville, Houston Bellaire took that road trip up 45N and got an old fashion beat down 91 - 27 in fall ball. This is the Bellaire Team that lost in the Regional Finals to Dickinson 70-61. Please note Duncanville is only playing 1 game, but they are scheduled to play additional games this year in Houston, I believe against Yates, Legacy SSS, and ??? Duncanville is loaded so please (Yates) bring your A+ Game or stay within 50 pts. lol

If this is true The Communication Program at Hightower is booming this year. Hightower should be careful, another transfer and some people will suggest they are cheating and they have an advantage over the other schools in Region 3, 5A who can’t recruit. Who does Hightower think they are, Yates, Faith Family, Houston Katy, Dallas Madison, Dallas Kimble, Houston Lamar, Houston Bellaire, Legacy SSS, Houston Summer Creek, Fort Bend Shadow Creek. Hightower stay in your lane and play with the kids from your community smh 🤦🏿‍♂️ This is my personal opinion

The transfer portal is working at Fort Bend Hightower, 6-9 kid (Out of State Transfer) to play with Bryce. Hightower must have a Communication Program.

I can't wait to see Hardin-Jefferson (W21) vs Silsbee (W22) in the Quarterfinals this year.

Is it possible that Hardin-Jefferson will play opponents that are ranked high (top 10 in TX) or play teams above their classification (5A, 6A, or Private). If they play private, they might have to play teams that recruit. Can't wait to see their schedule.

The International Baccalaureate World School would be a nice fit for Bryce Griggs. The school is located on the campus of Jack Yates Senior High School. If Bryce decides to wear the Crimson & Gold, 4A just got very juicy (Region 3). It is possible that Bryce could play a National Schedule (next season) while completing for a State Title at Yates. Also The School of Communications on line learning has a few openings lol

This years team will be solid for sure with Chucks & Latrell Moore retuning, our guard play should surprise some people this year. We should be highly ranked this season. We should have a deep team as usual and Yes we will press for 32 minutes. I have not heard or read about any transfers, so we will have to wait and see. With HISD starting the school year online we might not know of any transfers until the students return to class. I see Yates going deep (Regionals) in the playoffs. Faith Family should be ranked #1 with there returning players and transfers followed by Yates at #2.

TxHoops, will your alumni take on the challenge of playing this Legacy School this year??? My alumni Yates I believe have been told by the Athletic Director for HISD that we can not play Legacy.

Legacy School of Sports Science has 5 players ranked in the top 25 (RCS SPORTS) class of 2021. If they add Bryce Griggs this team will be A Must See.

Yates played Legacy last season, they are building a very nice team this year. Several school districts have indicated that they will not play Legacy because of there open recruitment of local players. Legacy has received several local transfers for this coming season., Legacy will have a talented team on paper, will be interesting to see if they can play together. I doubt if Yates will be given permission to play Legacy this season. Legacy doesn’t appear to be afraid to step out there and play a National Schedule. Does anyone know if any teams from SETX has them on their schedule this year ???

I doubt it, Coach Wise usually doesn’t play teams In his classification (4A) during the pre-season, I was surprise when he agreed to play LC-M this year. Wonder if Silsbee and HJ will play this season sense they are in separate divisions. Those 3 games last year was must see thrillers.
