OF gave us all we want plus a little and yes I would call it a scare (I was getting fidgety in the stands). I said going into the game they would. I know some of those kids personally, they have NO quit in them. I think OF will be the sleeper team in these on coming playoffs. I believe them being 3rd in district will cause some teams to look past them and that will not serve those teams well.
 
As far as my FINAL statement on WOS (unless we see you in playoffs)  I knew we would have to play a perfect game and WOS would have to make a few mistakes (and I stated that prior to game). Neither happened and the end results reflected just that. It was not a punt call or bad officials or the weather, or a lunar eclipse, HJ did not execute WOS did.
 
I think our area will be VERY WELL represented in the upcoming playoffs and I hope HJ starts the ball rolling tomorrow night.

Man, a team ALMOST beats you and you don't call it a scare. They COULD have very well beat you with that comeback. Yes, you were up by three TD's but not in the end. I agree that King is more valuable to HF than DT to WOS, but that is NOT the award. The award is MOST VALUABLE PLAYER in the DISTRICT, not team. Sorry, in my mind unless you do something spectacular (2,000 rushing yards or something like that) a player on the bottom rung of district is NOT MVP in the district, just his team.
 
I submit King for all district QB, Dallas from WOS as newcomer of the year (if not for King, all district QB),  and DT MVP. Not just for outstanding play on BOTH sides of the ball, but for being the leader on a district champ team. DT held the team together until Jack could get his footing. Without DT's leadership early on, WOS doesn't have as good a record.

Let me see if I get this, Bedelman. You have been talking trash to WOS fans, coaches and players since June. And you're offended that one of our players was talking trash to you guys?? Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

So far we have been better for one night for EVERY time that we have played the almighty chicken hawks. I believe WOS won the game by RUSHING. I don't think rushing the ends would have helped up the middle of the field. Don't know about WOS being very beatable but we sure did find out that hj was. You have the talent to beat WOS? I believe that we not only swept you from junior high on up, in most games we blew you out. I guess a punt affected the momentum in all those games as well.
 
hj coaches did all they could. It was a pick your poison, either let Jack throw or stop him and hope the Stangs can't run. They did what they HAD to do and probably what WOS will see the rest of the season. You just were not quite good enough to handle us. You have an outstanding team this year, your just not quite what you thought you were though. Yes, WOS is beatable if we don't play well (Newton proved that), but that is not our standard of play.

If hj ever does defeat WOS, I think they might earn some of that swagger to trash talk back also. He's not a "high dollar" corner. He's a high school safety who happens to be one of the best in the nation. Your coaches called our coaches that week to tell them they used DT as bulletin board material. As a matter of fact, when he came home, he wrote down what your coaches said and put it on our kitchen table. That's why he was talking noise to your coaches. If that makes him a bad kid, Oh well. You'll get over it.

With 8:43 left in 4th, Hardin-Jefferson has drove down to WO-S 14 yard line. Hawks have a 1st and 10 and look to cut Mustang lead to 7 with a TD here.

The only thing you've said that is accurate is that WO-S is not 21 points better than HJ. Without the flag happy refs, it would've been worse. 
 
Nothing was "too close for comfort" in this game. WO-S was in control of the game from the first series. HJ is good, but not as good as you think they are. The better "prepared" team didn't win...the better TEAM won. 

If the shoe would have been on the other foot, HJ wouldn't have scored.
