two 45lbs plates on each side (2+2=4) would be 180 lbs.
Add 45 plus 180 and you get 225lbs. :D

I'm not a genius either, but I'm going to go out on a limb and say he is putting 4 plates on each side which is ummmmm dang, like 360 lbs, and then the 45 LB bar.

It wasn't that they vandalized the locker room, it was just the urine left behind in a couple of lockers and Gatorade bottles with some trash left out instead of the recepticables provided. As far as principles and police being at the game I'm pretty sure that's a standard or maybe you should ask why your principles don't care enough about the program to show up if that's what happens over there.

D1 talent for sure, that's not bragging, it's fact. They've got 2 kids that are juniors with big time offers already. Just because you have D1 talent doesn't mean you're going to win. Still have to protect the ball and play together. Nederland is well coached and will have in my opinion one of best pure football players in the area on the field. Nederland is ranked higher in every poll in the state, so yeah, it's an upset.

Would this really be considered an upset? At home, beat us handily last year, and all kinds of D1 talent?

Crosby is the underdog, Nederland is ranked as high as 15 in the State.

I'll say this, there was enough for Nederlsnd last year, but when PNG came over 3 years ago, some of them came over to our side. They traveled a lot better.

Have they expanded that little bitty stadium yet in Crosby? At first i thought it was where the jr high played or something

I like it, depends on what your looking for. Baytown has way more to choose from, but obviously isn't as close. Iguana Joes is also normally busy at dinner time.

You need to see the visitor side parking lot(dirt w/rock).You're in for alot of waiting after the game to get out of there.1 way in,1 way out & stuck till most of Crosby fans have left.Only a few handicap parking spots

Dayton didn't have that problem last year, y'all only had about 25 people in the stands!

I remember that play, he got caught on a peel back block from the slot rcvr, seeing him laying there I didn't think there was any way the kid should've come back in the game

Liltex, they'll score this year, but I think the difference will be you're going to see 10-12 play drives, not the 3-5 play drives from years past. Possessions will be fewer because they'll est up more clock so taking care of the pigskin is at a premium. Bottom line though, are they gonna be able to stop the other team.

Definitely would put them in the #4 spot.

Crosby is alot like the old BH: very good in the regular season but chokes in the playoffs.

They don't choke, they are what they were each year, a team that had to out score people and be perfect on offense. You have to eventually be able to stop somebody. Nederland in years past puts their hosses on defense, crosby and PNG go on the offensive side of the ball with a couple of exceptions. People say the twins were Crosby , but you look at the tape last year and that O line is pretty special.

I'll say this, Riordan and Faircloth know each other and that's why Crosby doesn't play PNG in the regular season anymore. Just remember Dogpound, your guy is the one who called and asked for this series to get started 3 years ago. You got him the first year, but last year it was a different story. Tie breaker this year and you guys need Seay to play QB, RB, WR, Safety, and Linebacker. The kid actually could do that, but I don't think he will. I don't know, but I saw some of the coaches at the area track meet last year and they seemed excited, guess that doesn't really say much though because all coaches are excited at the beginning of the year.

So many missed assignments made a really really good front four look like the best in the State. Plus, they aren't there anymore, but the COOGS do have a pretty legit O line. So Crosby didn't change their offense, they learned their assignments, big difference!

Week 0 games mean very little by the time a team gets near the playoffs....good teams and good staffs make adjustments and improve as the season wears on...honestly, it has been a Nederland trademark for years so no matter what happens, good or bad, in week 0, I won't put too much stock in it...I'll just use it as a starting point and guage of where we are and look forward to what happens from there

Personally the first game you really never know. I think the offensive line for Crosby could be very good and even the twins are gone, they are going to run the ball a lot. With what Nederland had upfront on the Dline last year that they lost and with what Crosby has coming back on the Oline could be the difference. As always though, gotta win the turnover battle and stop somebody. Should be a good start to the season. Hopefully that dang wheel route where the slot receiver doesn't burn the COOGS for the 3rd year in a row on 3rd or 4th and long.

On Fox Sports Southwest now 3 PM. The game was played Tuesday night.
