For the life of me I don't understand when the umpire calls strikes 4 inches outside you don't adjust and start swinging. Especially when you have two strikes. It was good seeing some of my old friends from PNG.

I'll just say this about the guy, my son moved to Crosby in the 8th grade and never got anything but a fair chance under him.

Y'all had a young team with some injuries. You got some experience, got heathy, and a little help to get in. Had the eventual state runner up on the ropes. Should be a really good year if you're a Bronco fan.

They'll make the playoffs and as always it depends on the match up. I haven't looked at the numbers and don't know where everyone would fall. Dayton, Kingwood Park, Crosby, and Barbers Hill, haha just kidding, no way in heck Barbers Hill makes it. Could be and improving Humble or C E King for the fourth spot.

My kids went to Elementary school in Groves. They couldn't wait til Fridays to wear purple and hear Cherokee on the loud speakers. It started early over there. On Friday nights, the stadium is packed young and old. 3 years ago when PNG played Crosby in Crosby, they had more fans at the game than Crosby did. The entire community supports their teams. Outside Nederland, they were barbqueing and tailgating before the game. Fan base!!!

I don't know about Ozen in particular, but when a new coach is hired, if it generates excitement with the kids, then you get some of them to come out and play that weren't previously part of the program. Hopefully the kids are excited and buy in, too much talent for them to be where they were last year.

I was sitting with some buddies from Dayton last night and we were talking about how the turnout for track doesn't seem to be that great for either school but more so for Crosby.Impressive! District 20-4A has a tall task ahead of them at the area meet. District 19-4A meet was a hot one.

I think the bond that was passed last year includes money to upgrade the stadium. I don't know how much of 86.5 million is going for that.

we lived in Groves until Dec 2006. I transferred to Hawaii for 3 years and then we settled in Crosby. Kyle's mom is from there. Kyle played ball with several of those kids from the PNG team when they were 10.Cal, Kyle came from PNG?

Actually, they were in the game because Elgin's QB didn't play in the second half. That gave them a chance, but when Aston got hurt, that pretty much sealed the deal. Playoffs are about match ups and I felt like I was watching Crosby vs Vidor from 2011.
