In the next 4 to 5 years there will be around 12 new high schools in Houston area with probaly 6 or 7 being 5A. There's about to be even more powerhouses in region 3.

I think Texas has better pitching than Pennsylvania. If you noticed South Carolina had zero pitching against Pennsylvania and that was the difference. Texas should win American side. Venezuela or Japan wins it all.

BH D is salty this year. They fly to the ball. Offense, well it's BH offense, ground and pound. Don't be surprised if you see more passing this year though.
-
I watched freshman and JV, which was controlled. Theywere neck and neck. I watched some varsity and Sterling was up 1-0 when I left. BH moved the ball against a much bigger team, but didn't punch it in while i was there.
-
BH hired the defensive coordinator from Dickinson which could only help us. Now we need a progressive offensive minded guy running the offense and just maybe we could turn things around. Only time will tell.
Btw, Katy does the best with less. My wife taught there when them and SLC were going back and forth. Katy has an enormous amount of kids in their program because the last 2 coaches ingrained it in the minds of the players that there the best. Now they have a dominant program who everyone would like to play for. We lived it for 4 years and lived the PNG traditions for 12 years. You don't have to line up D1 prospects to compete, it's the mindset and game plans IMO. Just my .02

Now you've given em hope come realignment their supt is in the UIL top brass loop
that's where he came from.
-
Takes a monster O Line in 21-5a to line up and get push to move programs that have greatpowerlifting resumes' team speed spreading you out=spells playing from behind.Maybe you're on to something, haven't seen BH in powerlifting, thing is all 21-5a schools growing to,NC had 200 out for football, gonna get tougher soon.
we have no powerlifting unfortunately. Heck, we don't have soccer to get a kicker. Although i hear next year Dayton and BH will be adding soccer. NCISD will split in a couple of years when 3rd HS is built. Also, some shake up may be coming on realignment. We don't have much of what you mentioned above, just have to hope every 3 or 4 years we have group come through that can compete for a playoff spot or UIL let 5 teams go to playoffs. Lol

Yall should've kept Don Price lol
i wasn't here during that time. Any of us could coach CEK and have success with the athletes they have though. Just my .02

Part true,no pun intended but in todays sporting circles,% says black atheletes dominating.I no( 0) that ever have @BH.
agree, but we do have some African-American players, just not many. You have to change a system to fit what you have to work with. Example Neumann and Faircloth. Until then, i see us struggling for a while in football. It doesn't help that participation in football is dropping. Need a boost to get kids interested again.
-
Well, there is a reason they are about to finish the multi-million dollar indoor practice facility. Thrre could be change in near future on the hill. There 6 new neighborhoods starting up very soon and we continue to grow. We need some athletes bad though. We should be competitive, but probably not playoffs until 2 more years. I will optimist though.
-
Ya'll right, i just figured i would talk about BH. Lol

BH Freshmen only have 50 players going out this year. If that's true, decline in numbers is never good. This group had around 135 last year between the two 8th grades.
-
I'm afraid besides girls softball, we are in trouble for a couple of years in most of our sports. Good luck to y'all, but hopefully we rebound and split. I wonder when the last time BH got swept in baseball?
-
And I don't think BH should be ahead of Dayton IMO
I disagree. IMO

PN-G has two, possibly three starters that have yet to practice or play due to basketball. With three to four positions wide open, it will take a few tournaments to figure out the pieces of the puzzle. Way to early to say "best team in the area". IMO Silsbee would be that team, they went to the finals last year, and didn't lose much. As far as depth for PN-G, yes, pitching.
Not too early, they will be best team in the area. Now, once playoffs start, I feel PNG will be playing tougher teams then Silsbee. Doesn't always mean a team in a different class that goes further is better.

PNG will be the best team in the area. They have a lot of depth this year.

Well Texas may be done. It will be hard for them to bear Cali and then beat Penn twice.
