  1. I went to the game. I seen some stuff tonight I smh. First, a WB player that kept getting hurt was down for like the third time had his to appeared to be mom, auntie, and two other family members run onto the field. This wasn’t a serious injury, kid was back in next series. Never seen that before and I’m in my 50’s. Second, I watch three different parents on BH side walk down to the railing and holler at their kids who were on the bench and talk to them. This is usually a no no, and parents should leave their kids alone until after the game. Like I said, one it’s embarrassing for the kid and 2. There’s nothing you can do for your kid at time, 3 let your kid grow up, let him deal with adversity, it’s going to be alright. Anyways off of my soapbox. West Brook looked good, shame they’re missing the playoffs.
  2. I thought someone said Dawson was dropping to 5A, maybe I’m wrong
  3. If BH does go 6A, I think they’ll go to Alvin, Shadow Creek, Pasadena Dobie, Pasadena Memorial, Pasadena Rayburn, and Pearland. Manvel and South Houston are dropping to 5A. BH will make the playoffs in every sport.
  4. I liked him last year, and could tell he had a strong arm back during pre-season. He just needed to know when to take some off and be able to finesse the ball at times. I thought should’ve started last year and this year. The move in had experience at small schools and appeared to have trouble to adjusting 5A level speed IMO. Just my two cents
  5. Sad for WB, a once Area powerhouse has definitely dipped.
  6. After watching BH last week, give me PAM by 3. That’s by 3 TD’s
  7. Might be most embarrassing loss in BH history. Congrats to Sterling, they took it to the Eagles. This new coach might not last long having this kind of result. That Sterling backfield looked good.
  8. BH Freshmen class is 700 and something. I think we barely make the cut and stay 5A D1 until next realignment.
  9. Not many liked the OC when he was at BH. If you look back at the head scratcher play calls in the playoffs last couple years, you’ll see he’s probably the issue. Lufkin with a good OC would be dangerous.
  10. The BH Jerry Jones sitting back smiling right now saying “ I told y’all so”😁
  11. Those areas aren’t getting athletes, Splendora, Cleveland, Porter, New Caney, Caney Creek are all below average in almost all sports.

  13. Well, I was way off. G-Ball must be atrocious this year.
  14. Im super surprised and wrong about the Eagles this week. Good win!

  19. Not sure, but they appeared to get things tohether towards the end of last year. If they can keep that going plus get the younger kids up to varsity speed, I could see them as the dark horse for sure.
  20. BH has no returners on the O-line, which in HS is a big deal. If they can get those boys tightened up, and everyone can get a grasp of the new system, BH could be dangerous with the amount of returning skills kids. Teams will see new formations by BH offense this year. With limited film due to a new offense may work in favor for BH in early district games. BH lost really good LB's last year, but return some good kids on defense. Secondary is always an issue, but the D should be competitive. BH has schedule on their side this year as well. They get Lufkin, Galveston Ball, and PAM at home, which means the calls will go BH way . Lufkin, PAM, and WB are my other picks for playoff spots. WB made a run at the end of last year and I think 5A is where they belong. Look for the Bruins to surprise some people this year. G-Ball was a totally different team without the superstar last year. Ball did have some other talent, but QB play wasn't very good and RB waits way too long to hit a hole. After about a quarter, defenses figure out the 3 plays Ball runs and shuts them down. I think they're the odd man out this year.
  21. Baseball 19-3 on the year so far. Keep it going boys!
  22. Boys and Girls track won district, Theater One Act advancing to Area round, Poetry, Prose, and Lit Crit going to Region. No other school district in the Region has this kind of success across the board.
