Honestly as a district I don’t think it’s what it used to be there aren’t any big anything’s not with basketball evolving like it is. I hope y’all understand nobody is scared anymore you will get everyone’s best game .

They’ve had some key Injuries but Coach Thomas & his staff have found a way to keep the ship floating. Only 2 seniors in the team, so that gives you an idea. Can’t look ahead one game at a time but i don’t forsee a loss by any other team outside of the two you mentioned and even they are beatable ..

You can play any defense when it’s done right....held a team that normally scores 75-80 to 59pts ,I’m not a mathematician but that’s well below Memorials average. Ozen lost this game because they missed 10-12 layups and 13 free throws .. ijs that sounds like a recipe for a loss right there. Oh and memorial shot 6/18 from 3. guess the zone worked pretty good on team that averages 12 makes a game from there

I noticed PNG has some good shooters this year. So if PNG is shooting well i give them a chance but to beat Nederland you must take care of ball, play solid defense & rebound.

Yes you are very correct Aggie as we were watching them play things were very bad from the standpoint we have never seen it like this but as you said things have changed Coach Thomas and his staff have done a great job of making adjustments. Sometimes you have to weed out negative energy and it took a minute but i believe they are on the right track. The kids there have bought in now and are playing hard ,I keep saying every year Ozen has talent might now be the big sexy names of others but they are there. Keep grinding Panthers ...

Were you at the same game,they only had 8 turnovers for the game . Nederland got back into the game because of 10 missed free throws down the stretch. If this is the weakest Ozen team ,guard play Etc etc how does Nederland lose by double digits then. Ozen have one starter playing from last year ,4 new players starting on varsity for the time I think they are doing pretty well. Sweep your own porch before you try and seeep someone else’s

Jones is out for the year with an acl tear , The Panthers are just playing great team ball especially the last 4 games. All eggs don’t hatch on the same day and goals aren’t accomplished in November & December. Hefner is a very good player who deserves his respect he can score in a variety of ways kid has it . Anyways I’ll 3-0 over 0-3 right now ,on to the next one .

No because again Soulja it’s apples and oranges the talent level on the summer circuit isn’t even comparable to high school ,one is the projection of where you will play on the next level compared to what is being asked of you to help your team win which means playing out of position. Kid plays the 4 he’s not even close to that but he does it with no complaints he just plays the game the correct way. Ask any coach in this district would they love to have him the answer is yes. Unfair to compare him to kids of the past from Nederland those guys had very good players around them.

Quick point Tim Brown(Notre Dame) won 4 games his entire hs career but still went on to win the Heisman and have a great Pro career.
