+1000, some ppl just like to feel validated with some of the stupid ishhh they say. But this is the world we live in janitors telling doctors what they should be doing in the operating room because they watched Trauma:Life In the ER -

I agree ,people just love to talk either would be a very good choice ,i hope they get this right and go young we don’t need a coach who is just gonna be here 3-4 yrs... -

And to quote Coach Thomas : “I would love to have the job I feel like I have what it takes to establish a winning program. I understand some may think I’m too young or inexperienced but experience comes from learning and every coach has to go through it. I know all these kids and have great relationships with them and I myself played for one of the best coaches ever. My mentors like Coach Boutte, Coach Gamble have taught me a lot about life and basketball. Whom ever gets the job will have a hell of task at hand and if it is not me I JUST WANT WORK WITH THE KIDS in some capacity whether it be freshman,jv or whatever is asked.” -

I was having this discussion the other day these kids will quit because they don’t care. Don’t think for one second these kids don’t have a preference with who they want to coach . Parents and kids are already saying they are ready to jump ship .I’ve been around long enough to know that this generation is mentally weak. There are a handful that can withstand the grind but the others will flat out give up and walk away with no shame. I do not understand it because some of these parents have blinders on no situation in life will be perfect. You can’t hold their hand in life you allow them to fight battles because in the future similar situations will come around again could be in the workplace. Just my opinion and no it isn’t true for all but I hear some of these kids talk and it’s mind boggling. -

Had the opportunities to win the game against a battle tested and experienced Memorial team, back to the drawing board , one game at a time , next up Livingston. -
TxHoops you warned me lol not it’s my turn why bother some live inside a house with no windows it’s pointless to tell them it’s light outside they will always argue and say it’s dark. With that said maybe these coaches at these schools know something about basketball Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Houston,Lamar have offered I’m sure they see his talent level and not just how many he score on a hs or summer level...ijs

I disagree about qualified outside applicants. And I like Boutte but he is where he’s at WB. I think you have a talented young coaches who are in place at both schools who deserve the job. What kills me about Some of you is y’all will swear up and down someone else is the answer. Name one coach who has started out on top I'll wait. Everyone has to start somewhere if these coaches have the support of the community like you would for an outside coach things would go smoothly . Grass ain’t always greener on the other side. Funny part I’m glad this happened because Central and Ozen has fair weather fan bases.

As i stated to Mr.Shapiro kids or parents cannot get in their feelings. 15 Man roster for varsity that’s it , 12-15 for both JV A/B,same for freshman. The true question is how many of the those kids are varsity level players especially if you a junior on jv aometimes the writing is on the wall not for all but for some it is. The truth is unless kids are putting in the work during the summer they will get left behind period point blank. I hear ppl talking about scholarships how many guys have earned a scholarship from all 3 Bmt schools in the last 5 yrs. if you do a breakdown it seems like a lot but you can be fooled by so called talent. Last year only 3 kids from any of the Bmt schools went on to play college ball. Here is a very harsh reality about HS . No matter how many points certain players score, it may not ever translate in to playing Juco,NAIA,D1,D2 or D3. Ppl may not like it, but it’s the absolute truth.
