Ball 24
Yea. I got a bad update. Should have know not to take the update from a dance mom lol.
2 bad bad losses for Gcm.

Trying to confirm but I’m hearing it’s a big score. Can’t confirm yet.
-
I believe i just heard it’s 37-0 Ball right now
-
I think it’s PAM and then everyone else this year in district. About 3 teams that could go winless in district.

Lol like gcm that broke Dayton’s 20 game losing streak in dramatic 42-7 fashion
Still trying to figure out the meaning of this post. Lol

I didn’t watch the entire game so I only know he played. Did they have another QB in when the interceptions were thrown?
Yes #12 the sophomore started and threw all the INT's.

I not basing nothing off of the GCM game. I just see a difference all together. I don’t see Crosby winning by 50 but if they do they do. These Broncos going to fight until the end. And as far as who was missing from GCM the starting QB was in the game while I was watching so not sure how they didn’t have him. But either way I like everyone counting Dayton completely out. That just makes these boys want it more and makes them want to prove everyone wrong.
You are right. He suited up and handed the ball off the entire game lol.. He did not attempt 1 pass or run the ball.

I feel like that whooping they put on GCM is giving off some false excitement lol. Don't let that GCM game be a game you use to measure yourself. They Were without Their Qb, Best o-line,an, starting Safety and lost their #1 wr on the opening kickoff.
Cougars win by 50 easy in this one.

OK but I still don't get it. They should be better than they are. Any other new school anywhere is built because upwardly mobile families are filling out the area and they are almost always good in sports for a period of time. Just seems weird that GCM has had what...two good years in a decade and a half?
Its very simple.

What is so funny? I saw it a few times in my class. One in particular couldn't make varsity football or baseball but went to BH and became all state. Family rented an apartment on eagle drive. Not saying all of BH was not capable, I am saying the ones that transferred in from Baytown were coming for a reason.
In baseball ,football and basketball RSS would have spanked any BH team in boys sports back then. Not sure on the girls side but on the boys side the gap was huge. Not sure what year was the breaking point but its def not the case anymore obviously.
Speaking for myself I did not attend BH cause i couldn't play for Lee or RSS. I was at BH cause thats where my parents moved to from out of state.
There is probably no doubt Lee would have probably handled us my 3 years on Varsity. RSS idk, they may have worn us down and beat us in the end with all 28-30 players we had lmao.

Yes I was talking about attendance and atmosphere. Like Patty said, many are RSS graduates from the 90s whose kids attend BH. There is a rivalry between the kids now that wasn't there when I was in school.
Back in the mid 90s BH was a 3a and where you went if you couldn't hack it at 5A Sterling or Lee to get to play. That is no longer the case with the boom that has occurred out there with mostly Baytown people. BH puts a lot of effort into making it known that sports are very important where as GCCISD is more about the everyone gets a trophy mentality with the 3 schools. That way they can have 3 bands, 3 qbs etc. I much prefer the one horse town where everyone is an eagle and an administration that wants to win and understands the publicity that comes with it.
Now that the schools are roughly the same size, RSS and BH should play every year and I'm ok with mixing in GCM every once in while vs playing an HISD schools or traveling an hour away to play someone.
I often drive by stallworth on a friday night and feel terrible for those kids with hardly anyone in the stands. Most of the time its either Lee or GCM that is playing when I see that. Go watch a BH game on a Friday night and the home side stands are full. If I am kid that is where I would want to play, its a great atmosphere.
That right there is funny lmao. But Your last statement is correct. Drives me crazy to not see fans in the stands of these schools..

He's talking more about attendance. With that, I agree. GCM has very little fan/student support. It's quite sad.
Kudos to the baseball team for coming out this year though. They need to get their classmates involved as well.
Oh yea I def agree with that. RSS seems to always have a crowd win or lose. GCM has less fan support then the water polo team.

A RSS and BH game would. GCM and REL not so much.
GCM Vs Bh would have been a decent game last year. Lee Bh was a good game a couple years ago until the 4th quarter.

This is just a tad bit surprising. I assume Duke did not play tonight. Not that he would have changed the outcome.
He played 2nd half. Didn’t attempt a single pass. We literally lined up and ran the ball every play. Dayton could have sent 10-11 every play and it wouldn’t have mattered.
-
#12 started the game at Qb. Threw 3 INTs. Duke played the whole second half hurt. GCM did not attempt 1 pass the 2nd half. Qb unable to throw it. GCM’s #1 Tackle didn’t play as he is out. Opening kickoff Dayton drills our #1 WR after he called fair catch and he was unable to finish the game. Starting saftey for gCM also did not play. Idk
all in all a bad GCM team was rolled by a not very good dayton team lol.

Putting names on back of jerseys cost schools a lot of money and schools cannot afford to do so. I know most student-athletes pay fees for athletics and all that though.
They dont have to be permanent. Velcro name plates with a stitch or 2 for easy removal. IDK

I personally feel, if your a variety football player, you should have thr privilege of having your last name on the back of your jersey. Most guys will never play past high school. Having your name on the back of your jersey is pretty cool. I get get all the "team name on front" crap, but the name of the back is pretty cool too. I know many 6A an 5As do and I think Jasper was one local school that use to.
Deion is that you??

Yeah that’s the story of HISD. It’s been a long time since BH played anyone form HISD ( Smiley and Forest Brook) ,but last time we did I left that game feeling bad for those players. Coaches nor parents of Smiley could give a crap less and it showed. Hope the Heights are different.
Heights is definitely better then your Normal HISD schools. They have had some kids the past couple years. They should have a WR there that would be a Sr this year who is committed to Oregon. But he transferred to Lancaster last year and now at Desoto. I know they had a decent Qb and Rb last year but not sure if they are there this year. I think BH wins by 14-21.
