  1.  I really expected PNG to make deep runs in each of the last 2 seasons only to be eliminated in the 1st round. This PNG team has 9 college commits, not many teams can say that. May not see this much talent on the field at PNG for a long period of time. Several of these girls play on really good travel teams and win a lot. So I guess I expected the winning to carry over into high school and into the playoffs. It's not gonna get easier next year with the new district allignment. The easy district schedule is over for sure. Good luck next year.

With the weather the way it's looking for Friday, PNG is in the drivers seat. SOLID win tonight against Brenham's ace. There's no two ways about it, tonight the Indians were the best team on the field.

From what I hear Brenham's best pitcher will be throwing the next game. Supposedly can bring it a lil bit. Indians just gotta stay hot at the plate.

  3. NEDERLAND 3

    PNG 0

Nederland beats PNG 3-0.  Destiny Trahan threw a gem against PNG. One of the best games I've seen her throw. Showed why she is a Lamar commit. The game was a pitcher's dual between Destiny and Alexis Labure. Both had 13 strikeouts. Labure walked one and then a ball richocheted off the pitcher and it set the stage for Beard to hit a 3 run shot. This offset a great pitching performance by the PNG pitcher. Both pitcher's were pretty much dominating. Pretty good game to watch. Neither team will be tested in district until they play again. Just hope this weak district does not hurt either team when they get to the playoffs. I think it will though because they will not see any good pitching.

  4. Sounds like the only competition PNG will have is in the tourneys. 22-5A is extremely weak this year along with most teams in this area. I've never seen this area so down in talent before. I've seen a lot of teams and they are really young. Nederland will be the only competition for PNG, should be anyway. Last year they were predicted to win district outright but we know what happened.  PNG is pretty loaded at every position. Just have to play the right lineup and hit better to make a run in the playoffs. I look for just about every game in district to be a blowout!

  5.  Pretty sloppy game with several error's by both teams. Orangefield appears to be young. The pitcher was having to work her butt off as the catcher was struggling. I'd say 6 runs came off of passed balls. They may have to move the shortstop back to catcher. Pretty slow game at first then PNG started hitting the ball. Orangefield's runs came off of errors.

  6. Already laying turf on the softball field and the coach told me they are on schedule and should be finished by 02/1. Said the softball field will only take a couple of days to turf then the fences will go up.

I think you could see that if he wasn't the Qb. Now he is much too valuable on O. During te Nederland game, he said he felt like he couldn't move his legs when he went to the sidelines he was so tired. At this point, you prolly would wear him down.

I do remember his safety days tho. He was knocking kids out of games and forcing teams to forfeit at one point. Think that was a Lumberton youth team. He would have been nasty on that side.

I've heard this story before. No way will he ever see defense again. It would take away his explosiveness at the QB position. Too valuable on offense!

  8. A good passing offense will give them problem's. We got behind their defense all night. Just missed on the throws and catches. CS will stop the run as they are very fast and physical. On defense our guys were in the right place but were not physical or quick enough to make the play. If they run into a quick and physical defense they may have problems. I do not see CS winning it all.

That's not even close to being true, you can't let a couple of fans change your whole perception of a team. If that was the case I would hate every team within a 100 miles radius because some of their fans said something about PAM. If PAM and PNG win this week then 22-5a is legit. These will be both of our toughest tests on paper.

yes I realize that now, its all about them and no one else I get it

I was talking about who made the original comment not a group of people. It is what it is. I won't let one or two posters change what I think of PAM. They have a really strong team and I will be pulling for them as they are our neighbors.

Fake Indians really, smh. got the same damn record as yall in the same round of playoffs as yall, giving nothing but repect for yall and you still wanna talk bs. smh I guess I am wrong in my thinking  maybe not. Good luck to the Titans anyway

Gotta consider who your dealing with!

  11. People cant get mad whenever people are asked their thoughts and you don't like their thoughts. It is what is, their thoughts. College Station appears to be pretty legit so the outcome could be pretty bad. Just gotta hope we show up and play our best gameand hope they turn the ball over some. I also believe PAM will beat Temple then the following week it might be tough.
