lol. Coach Dubios is very clear of who is out. Coaches talk and coaches scout. Stating this to fans on a forum does not do any justice. What are the fans going to do? Read it, maybe tell a few more fans, get a chance to think they're going to win and then?? By stating who is out does not determine the outcome as they will be out regardless if it is told to fans on a here or not. Lets not act like this is all a big secret and will help Newton win the game if its not told to BC fans. Eleven Newton players have to line up against eleven BC players at the end of the day. But, i did catch a good laugh at this. (BC will now win being that the fans know who is out) Newton 34-14
I'll give you credit for not listing the playbook.

Tamauzia Brown#8, Kirkland Foster#11 and Brodrick Spikes#5 are out. JD Spikes#7 is banged up. That's four big time players. Tamauzia is a guy that changes the game and can score at will. The next shorter from Newton and only a sophomore. All of these guys touch the ball and do the scoring for Newton, so Newton will have to be creative this week.
Telling every detail about a team to the opposing team is not cool. Names , number , type of injury. The post above already noted the injuries but with respect didn't go into detail. Just not cool at all.

If Newton can get their starting players off the injury list and on the field Newton will be ok in this one. Too many key players on the sidelines right now. Two more games before district starts against a tough Crockett team. Would like to see these starters back on the field before the Crockett game. Injures are hitting Newton hard this year . I'll still take Newton in this one even without some key players on the field.

Newton has 2 spikes at running backs. The starter from last year has been out for the Kirbyville and Silsbee game. Newton also had their receiver and defensive back Foster out for both of those games. The #7 Spikes that played against Kirbyville and Silsbee can fly and a good back. They will be tough to beat when all return to the turf.

Don't hurt then Cardinals to bad Stangs. I don't want them to have any excuses when they come to Newton.

Gotta go with Newton. To many weapons on the Newton side. Defense will shut Diboll down.
Newton by 28 and counting. ..

How did silsbees QB fare?
He is good... Silsbee will be ready when the time comes.

Silsbee has talent and mark my words. They will be ready when it counts.. Proud of our Eagles tonight.

Let the field be dry and blue in the sky and watch them Eagles Fly High.

A
With all the rain I think both teams are probably in the gyms doing walk thru and film gazing. Enough of the wet stuff..

Them Kats gonna be fine. Kville has the speed and a QB that will develope. Everytime Ty touches the ball he can take it to the house. A little tweeking on the Oline Kats are right back in it this year. No doubt.

Newton vs Silsbee game will start @ 7:00 not 7:30.. Saw it posted on fb by NISD.

We played a very sloppy game last night but still stiffened up for the better part of 3 qtrs and stood toe to toe with Newton despite giving up turnover after turnover after turnover. Newton had the better team overall but they made some mistakes too and if we had played a little less sloppy football, the door was opened for us. As far as Orangefield, they have played us very close each of the last 2 yrs and now look better than even then. Combine that with Kirbyville needing to work out some kinks and tbh, this could go either way if we don't do what I know we can do. I say Kirbyville by a TD, but we can't be caught sleeping.
Don't forget to mention Newton had 3 TDs called back because of penalties. That door wasn't so wide open. A good defense causes turnovers. Kats will be fine. I like the QB choice and Ty can fly.. pulling for you guys to get it togeather and make another deep run in the playoffs. The Bob Cats are a scrappy team and focus on ball control. If the Kats can make points when they get the ball Kats can win. It's always a dull game with Orangefield because of their type of offense. Kirbyville takes this one.

Lots of Silsbee haters on this board. They will get better and make a deep run in the playoffs. I'd rather play a opener vs PNG vs playing some small school or weak HISD school and beating them by 50. PNG should be a playoff team this year. Silsbee has a lot of work to do but I can promise you they will get it together and be fine. PNG did dominate up front. We need Willie Jones III and Kaylon Barnes to be on the same page and more pass plays called. It takes time.
Trash talk is what it is.. Silsbee will be in the hunt. Your right about playing legit teams. Newton also meets Bridge City in the future and can't wait for that rematch. This is what preseason is about. Get the bugs out and be ready when they count. Silsbee, Jasper have often been slow to get rolling. Newton was slow last couple years. They getting off to a better start so far and playing good teams. We are all pulling for our local teams once the playoffs get rolling. Some who do the trash talk haven't seen a Championship team at their school since the 60s.. if you get my drift..

Looking forward to this match-up. Please Mother Nature spare us from the H2O. I'm still ringing in my ears from them Big Horns Newton has from one of last year's games. Going with them Newton Eagles. Their Horn is Louder in this one. If you know what I mean.

Here we go.... I've told you over and over. Somebody is going to win the NCAA Division II Championship and they'll claim to be "national champs." It's okay, but we all know about Division I. Newton's JV, errrrr 2A title runs are great, but it's just so hard for Eagle fan to realize that they can't compete with the big boys. Come playoff time, the rest of SETX will start playing tough competition from schools of their same size, and Newton will dust off a handful of small schools I've never heard of in the loser's bracket... Then crow about it. Newton fan is like that guy that believes the dirt track car out behind his barn makes him on the same level as Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and the rest of Nascar.
How does it feel to know that you can't even seem to beat middle of the road bigger schools like Orangefield and Bridge
How many years since BC won a Championship? What I thought.

At the end of the day, the school that is in the bigger classification should win, but I think home field advantage could be the difference.
Home field advantage and that 40pt

I give the coaches credit for this great program in Newton. The players start young and with the tradition of winning , a loss is not an option in Newton. Great program..

I wish they would leave it to the Schools who are playing to make the choice where they want to play. The smaller schools lose money from ticket sales having to play on Thursday.
