Cam ,I agree, whats for you is for you and fournately you are a wise parent that have been battle tested, and I am sure you  install those qualitys in Rodney.You and I both know you can not run from adversity because that is part of life ,the main thing is to know who you are and  where you are going in life but always put God first.Their are many stumbling blocks ,haters and politics out their but the cream always rise to the top.Rodney is a great player and he will get his just rewards ,no doubt in my mind he will get noticed, scouts look at quality not quanity, grades and maybe family back ground in which he have all those covered.

Which program do I consider more successful? Easy, Nederland. Always said put the Nederland coaching staff in front of an Ozen team who had 10 D1 players on it and Ozen wins state. People just can't grasp just how good our coaching staff makes our players. We don't have 10 D1 players at Nederland but the boys play team ball. They play for each other not for themselves to get a college chance. So I consider Nederland more successful.

Shay and Macy Mitchell - identical twins- from Lumberton sign to play volleyball for Wharton County Junior College in Wharton, TX.  Both girls are receiving scholarships. Congratulations to you both!!! Your love for the game, hard work, team effort, and discipline have all paid off. Can't wait to see what you do at the college level! Hey guys I am a Panther/Jaguar/Bruin, but most of all I am for what's right and if any of our schools are doing wrong or are doing injustices to our kids by developing anything less than good moral character by instead teaching a win at any and all cost mentality, I have a problem with that! The games will become a memory, the trophies will collect dust, but honesty, discipline and good character could last a life time! Our job is to give them tools to be successful in life and if all we can do is win games, go off to school for a few years and come back the same way we left, then we have failed! POINT BLANK!

Finest, i Teach my son to try to leave the program in a better place than he found it. There will be no feuding, you feud when two are of equal Talent. Well, I can tell you first hand no other back @ Ozen is worthy to hold his Jock, but with all the politics & bull that go on, Rodney will just play his Role & continue to be a Team player.   Lil C & Rodney are good friends and Rodney will continue to Mentor him & also learn from him. Make no mistake Lil C is very Talented & his time will come, I just think some Nosey A_ _ Alums & hating Coaches tried to hinder Rodney's progress because he isn't one of their "chosen" ones. What God has in store for Rodney, no man can stop.  Adversity builds character & he got the Shaft this Season, so he is stronger, wiser & Hungrier. I Pray that any Parent that reads this thread & has a kid in the same situation can be encouraged. Haters only put up stumbling blocks or forks in the road. Stay the course & press on.  Leave it in God's hands & continue to Pray. In Rodney's case, he let go & let God & you can see what has unfolded as of now. ;)

99.9 percent of the kids who play high school football never play another down after their senior year. If getting a college scholarship is a person's goal, maybe they should re-evaluate that position. An education leading to a good job is what the 99 percent should be about. I think Nederland does a good job of preparing their kids for that.

Hey, my kids transferred back to BISD and I have no problems that any other parent would not have. 

We may or may not lose a district game or games next year, but either way we will not suck. This coaching staff has proven they can put the pieces together, they do a great job of adjusting to strengths with personel, formations, and strategies to compete year in and year out.

Good game girls. It was exciting. And hey New Caney's student section I don't think Allison is overrated or sucks :) Way to go Allison for not letting them get in your head.

Spoken like a true Bulldog.  :)   But seriously, football04 is correct.  Until someone in the new 22-5A steps up and says differently, Nederland is the only one with a target.  And they have earned that target.
 
The only target PNG has is on Faircloth's back if he doesn't get that QB controversy settled once and for all.  That can't continue for another season.

...and here goes the asinine comments. This has nothing to do with BISD. It's obviously the horse and pony show that the HC is putting on. But detractors like yourself always find a way to make it about BISD...

Hopefully he will get more opportunities, but if not he has be trained & taught to stay ready, hungry, & humble; most of all be Coachable under all circumstances. It was frustrating, but he learned some valuable lessons. I couldn't help him then & if he's Blessed to play in College I can't help him there either. That's why we Train & Pray.
Favoritism & Stupidity is Real, but if you are prepared like he is, you can perform in limited duty. He touched the ball maybe an avg of 4 times a game last yr. Go figure

What type of system would work best, in your opinion?  I know if I was the coach and had Randle and Boyd, we'd be running the Read Option.

Is it just me or does it seem like a lot of folks are "sleeping" on Lumberton? They have a really good pitching staff returning along with some other key players. Vidor is another team that IMHO should be higher on the radar than most folks are willing to admit. Sometimes you have to look at talent and not the name of the school in order to be objective.
